Very cute costume! Comes in 2 pieces, easy to put on. The headpiece fastens under the neck with a velcro strap, and the body of the costume fastens under the chest with a velcro strap. The fabric underneath stretches for fitting the dog's front legs through the holes. The colors are vibrant, and although my dog hates to wear clothes this appears to be a comfortable costume. There is no sizing guidance in amazon's product description, but here is what the packaging says:
Size fits up to Length Chest Neck
X-Small fits up to 8" 12-16" 10-12"
Small fits up to 12" 16-20" 12-14"
Medium fits up to 16" 20-24" 14-16"
Large fits up to 20" 24-28" 16-20"
My dog is an 11-pound miniature poodle/shih tzu mix and the small size fits her (but is slightly loose). I posted a picture in the "customer photos" section next to the manufacturers photo with some notes you may find helpful. The costume comes with instructions how to cut ear holes if you need to for your type of dog.

*Nice material (velvety) that is a bright and beautiful color
*Decent velcro on straps (below chin on headpiece and below belly on body piece)
*The "tailfeathers" stand up surprisingly well
*Headpiece is separate in case your dog doesn't like things on his/her head (mine will tolerate for photos, but does not like them there longterm)
*Neck and leg holes are nicely sized and placed, so this sits well on my dog (I have had problems with past costumes in this area)
CONS:
*The headpiece sits somewhat oddly on my dog's head, and I'm not sure the beak is necessary. It looks a bit odd. (But this costume is plenty self-explanatory without the headpiece, so it can be left off.)

I have a Bichon-Poodle mix, a fairly small dog who I usually buy medium clothing/costumes for on holidays. Just a warning that this costume does run a little large, and so when I got it I had to figure out how to fix the fact that it was too big (returns? What are returns?). Mostly that was my fault, because I'm impatient and didn't read through to check reviews and see about sizing.
The costume itself is adorable and looked great once I sewed it in a bit, and if I'd just bought the small it would have been perfect right out of the package. It wasn't too heavy, and Lulu didn't mind wearing it for hours in the least. All the trick-or-treaters loved it, and I did too. The only thing is that you have to make sure it's snug around the midsection, since the tension is what keeps the tail up. Good quality, great colors.
