UPDATE: It's been over a year and this headset is still going strong. I use it a lot more now, and I haven't had one problem with it. I'm very impressed with the quality of this thing considering the price.

ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW:

I don't game online a lot, but I needed a headset so I could communicate with friends when I do. I wanted something inexpensive, yet still functional for the occasional wireless online gaming session. This Wireless Bluetooth Headset fit the bill perfectly.

This headset is a wireless Bluetooth microphone, which means it is compatible with any Bluetooth device, not just the PS3. I ordered one for $14.99 and it shipped quick. When it arrived, it came in a small, plain brown box, inside that was a sleeve of bubble wrap containing the headphone and a short USB charging cable. This can be plugged into any USB power source (power outlet w/adapter, computer, PS3 system, etc.) and the initial charge took about 2 hours. After that, syncing the headset to my PS3 was a breeze. All you have to do is go into the Settings menu on your PS3 dashboard, choose Manage Bluetooth Devices, and have the system search for the headset. Then just hold the power button on the headset until the PS3 detects it, and enter the code 0000 when it asks. And that's it! Once synced, the PS3 will detect it automatically, and I haven't had to re-sync the device at all.

Once synced, I tested the mic and set the sensitivity in the Audio Devices menu of the PS3. The mic is quite sensitive, as I found it was not only picking up my voice but also most background noises. I turned it down to 2 and that seemed to be good.

I ordered this headset because the price was great and I wanted something that sat over my ear. The headset itself works great, I had no problem hearing others or being heard by them with little to no background noise reported by my friends. I got this for my PS3, I wanted the Bluetooth over a corded one because I have kids and a dog that would pull the cord. After opening the package, I gave a quick glance at the instructions included in the package. There are NO PS3 instructions but it's still very easy to set up. I charged it for two hours(directions say at least 4 but prefer overnight/8hrs. on initial charge) just to check everything out. The headset synced with my PS3 in seconds and worked well. The headset itself is a little...fragile, not cheap but seems like it could be broken easily if mishandled so maybe not the one for my kids to use. As for me, it fits well and sit nicely on my ear without slipping or moving(although the headband is very thin). The buttons are easy to access while wearing it and aren't complicated to use, so that's a plus. It came with a USB charge cable and the wall adapter(which is nice) but can also be charged with the same cord used to charge the PS3 controllers.

PROS:
Lightweight and comfortable. Good sound quality and speakers. Easy to set up. Wall charging option

CONS:
Seems very fragile. Thin headband. No PS3 instructions

My overall impression is that it's a good headset for under $15 but I can see it getting broken and needing to be replaced. Due to the price, however, if it does break I'll probably end up ordering this same headset again.

I was not happy that it took more than a month to deliver their product, but excited to try out the new headset. However I had to wait because their directions say to charge it overnight for the first charge. The next day I got it to connect to the PS3 but had trouble using it for DC Universe Online. A couple of days later (no use in between) I figure I'll try again. It was making a beeping noise so I thought maybe it needed to be charged again. Powered down and plugged it in. A few hours later I noticed the red LED was no longer blinking so I figured it was fully charged. Pressed the power button and it wouldn't do anything. Plugged it back in and the LED doesn't light up. I got one use out of it. I'm about to find out if their customer service is better than their quality control.

just got this today. it is charging now. by the looks of it it will be a nice headset. it is light weight, easy USB charge. i will update after hubby tries it out later. he says it works well.

UPDATE: well this sucks it does NOT work with the PS4. he has both systems but it will not work with one of them. i figured since it says it works with gaming consoles and it is Bluetooth it would work, I was wrong...waste of money.
