I had this in my dishwasher for two loads, and the strong, pungent odor spread through the house and became impregnated into anything that wasn't glass, metal, or pottery. I thought the smell might dissipate, but it was the flavor of this dreadful thing permeating my lunch and drinking water that was the deal breaker. After three washings the odor is nearly gone but not forgotten.
