Great cable if you're looking for a shorter length. Solidly built but lightweight, heads are plastic with metal framing inside and appear study. Mates easily with my devices, not too loose or too tight. A good choice.

Excellent data throughput on the FW800 bus. Sturdy, braided cable, solid design overall. Shipped in a timely manner. I would recommend this cable.

This cable did not work upon arrivAl and plugging it in. A neighbor had another cable, tried that and it worked. Retried this one and it did not work. Not sure the issue, but not happy with the purchase.

Like others have said, I'll say the same: stays safe and steady in firewire ports, which can be a big problem for other firewire cables feeling too loose and precarious.

The biggest problem I have with Firewire 800 cables is that they easily slip out of the socket, particularly in a laptop if you move around. These hold fairly well.

Wouldn't buy again. Cable connectors are loose fitting inside my macbook pro and external hard drive which makes the connection sometimes drop out.
Look elsewhere for a better firewire cable.
