I ordered the protective holder set for a friend-she has only had the product about a month and it is already not working well. Although the product fit her handicapped placard, the top of the protective holder is already melting at the top. This product is from Closeout Zone. I spent quite a bit of time researching the various protective holder sets and purposely avoided those that described these kinds of issues, so I am very disappointed to find out the 'wear and tear' of this product is not performing after such a short period of time. Would not recommend. She takes her placard in to her house when not in use and does not leave in the sun unless needed for parking so the actual time in the sun has been minimal.

The hook on my state issued placard was too small to fit easily on my SUVs mirror. This holder's hook is wide enough to permit easy fitting on the mirror. Note: When removing the placard, the holder must be pulled laterally! Pulling down could easily rip the plastic.

I thought these were the holder with a re-enforced hook but these are the same weak plastic hooks I already have. They are OK but tend to fall off from time to time. I always pray they don't fall off when a cop comes by.

When ordering these I expected that they would have a more durable hanger than what the placard originally had, unfortunately the hanger is exactly the same as the original. I would have like to have been able to see the entire holder before purchasing. I will go ahead and use these until the hanger gives way which I am certain will only be a matter of 3-4 months. Next time I will choose a different manufacturer.
