Can't touch the price for 2 cork blocks. These are actually better quality than anything out there. If you buy the other brands that are real smooth looking you will have very small particles of cork grain that wears out. The little pieces break off, kind of like sand itself off, sheds pieces. But these Bean blocks are much better because the cork pieces are way larger and more durable, they don't sand off. Really important for high use yoga studios. 3" are good for travel but I went with the 4" for more stability (pretty heavy too but won't break your toe if dropped like wood blocks can) but my balance could be better.

I didn't open these right away, but when I did I almost immediately realized that they aren't the same size. It's not like one is the 3inch and the other a 4 inch, but they're just a fraction of an inch different in size. :/ Probably won't be a problem, but disappointing none-the-less.
I also found the cork to be somewhat crumbly, like it's too dry.
I'm not going to go through the hassle of trying to return them, but I also wouldn't recommend them. :/

A yoga block seemed like an unnecessary purchase, but after I experimented with a shoebox, I realized I was getting way better stretches from the workout.

I went with the cork because reviewers said they preferred the stronger support, and after some use I completely agree.

FYI, for P90X & X3, you really only need one block.

The bottom line is I cut this block in half and used it to isolate my desktop speakers. I'm not into yoga so I really don't know what someone looking for one of these things is expecting. Regardless of that, I'll tell you what this is:

THIS IS CORK, and that is the outer layer of a tree. It's a natural element, so there are very little chances of getting it wrong (unless the tree is sick or something...).

Aesthetically speaking this is evenly cut and well polished. It's got a khaki/gray coloring (in case you've never seen cork in your life) and it's very solid. I weight 175 pounds, I can stand on it (one foot) and this thing wont flinch. Its also quite light... JESUS! ITS CORK, OK?

I think it will be perfect for whatever use you have for a CORK BLOCK. The only thing to be aware of is that if you rub it, cork will shed particles.

If you don't want to broom around, I see that there are some plastic ones. Go check them out.

I purchased these for my wife because they were on the cheaper end of things. They worked fine until one day I stepped on the corner of one and the corner broke off.

Pro:
- Cheap price
- Works good enough
- Cork (as opposed to rubber)

Con:
- Cheap price may lead to cheap construction - corner broke off shortly after purchase

Cork blocks of the advertised dimensions. Dense. Corky. A nifty little bean-shaped logo burned in. Did I mention that it is a cork block? Just in case it wasn't clear, this is set of 2 dense cork blocks. Not stone, not hardwood, not foam. Cork. Dense cork. Blocky. With slightly rounded edges. As far as cork blocks go, these are them. Their primary flaw is that they won't necessarily bring you the joy of something like a pet rock, which is, you know, a rock. These are cork.

Pros: These blocks are very sturdy and stable. They are particularly useful in many balancing yoga poses (including supported head/shoulder stands) and I prefer them to foam blocks. Moreover, since these blocks are heavier than foam blocks, their weight can be used as additional challenges in certain poses. These are a great buy, particularly considering that you get 2 blocks for the same price as one block of some name brands.

Cons: These blocks are heavy and hence will need a sturdy bag for transport (I use a small backpack to carry these along with my towel and personal items to the studio). Unlike foam blocks, these cork blocks do not have any give, so it might be too hard if used to support your back in supported back-bends.

I have been using these blocks for over 2.5 months both at home and in the studio. I would recommend these blocks to novice and experienced yogis.

My students love these blocks over any others I have ordered in the past. I like that you order them as a pair rather than singles.
