This is an excellent little heater. I had the previous version for and it used it almost daily for about two years, I just bought this new one to replace it. It's very quiet, easy to use, and puts out a good amount of heat. My favorite feature is the thermostat, I can set it so that while I'm sleeping it keeps at a constant temp. It turns off at the desired temp and turns back on if it gets too cold. It's very comforting to know that I won't wake up freezing.

I love this heater and we have had it a few months now, however the more nights we use it the louder it gets and clinks starting up. I wish that it would have stayed the way it was when we started using it and I would have gave it five stars but short life span I think. Does stay cool to touch and perfect for around toddlers, the temp controil works great for not wanting it to just run all night in the baby room however for 70 you have to set it at 75 but once you know that its not a big deal.

The controls are weird and there is no way to oil the squeak that develops after the oscillator starts making unbearable noises. This is supposed to be a silent unit.

I spent days researching the best space heaters on Amazon, reading reviews, etc. I bought a different heater and very shortly, that heater died. I had to run to Target to buy a replacement on the spot, and I always hate buying things without reading reviews, but after comparing what Target had I bought this. I love this little thing! We have had at least 4 or 5 space heaters, and they either seem to take too long to heat a room, or they never stick to the temperature you set them to. This little guy really blows hot air and it is the ONLY heater so far that actually has a working thermostat! I set it to 70, it turns off at 70. It is also small enough that it can be on the floor, a table or counter top. I love that. I love it and I'm buying another for the downstairs.

The heater works well – the thermostat is not perfect but it works fine for me. What happens with a lot of these types of heaters is it will determine the heat close to the heater while the temp in the room is lower. Simple solution just set the thermostat 5 degrees higher. Some people complain that the settings are at 5 degree increments, there is no need to have to dial in a setting less than a 5 degree increment.
The heater warms up a very cold 200 square foot room bedroom within 15 minutes. I have another Honeywell that has worked perfect for 7 years so I chose to stay with the same brand.

After receiving the heater, I was extremely happy. We wanted to keep the baby's room warm without having to heat the whole house. The automatic temperature control and safety features are awesome. I would say that the thermostat is about 5 degrees off... so if you want it 70 degrees, set it to 75, etc (to me, only a minor annoyance and my only complaint about the design). I really love that it automatically switches itself from high, to low, to off as the temperature cycles.

We used the heater (on automatic) about 10 hours a day for 6 weeks and then suddenly the heat stopped working. The unit would power on and the fan would run, but the air was no longer heated regardless of the setting. I called Honeywell's customer service and (to their credit) they offered to replace it with no questions asked if I shipped it to them. The only catch was that it would take at least 6 weeks for the replacement and I didn't want to be without a heater for that long in the dead of winter.

I contacted the seller and I was allowed to return the item for a refund. I then used the money to purchase another unit. The 2nd unit was identical to the first except that I got a white one the second time instead of the original black. The new unit has been working for about 2 months now. BUT, from the day I got it out of the box something was wrong with the fan. The fan is EXTREMELY loud and makes a rattling sound. It sounds like the fan is loose or there is a bad bearing. I know this is not what it is supposed to sound like because the first unit did not do this -- it was perfect while it worked. So far this one works, just not perfectly. As soon as the weather is warmer, I am going to send this unit in for a warranty replacement with Honeywell.... let's hope that the 3rd time is the charm!

I really love this heater, but the design is not reliable. If I had it to do over again, I would purchase a different item.
