Color: Natural Beige
I had previously been using Revlon Colorstay Combination/Oily Skin Makeup, Revlon ColorStay Makeup, with SoftFlex, Combination/Oily Skin, Natural Tan 330, 1 oz. and had been happy with it for many years. However, recently, it seems to be lacking in some of the coverage I was used to, or it could just be that my skin's aging process isn't compatible with it any longer. So, I was about ready to buy some higher-end foundation elsewhere when I decided to give this a try, (and, it was on sale). The next day, I open the jar and see this very creamy foundation, and I'm wondering if this is going to slide right off my face, as it looks too creamy/moisturizing for my skin type (sensitive, adult, naturally oily and prone to breakouts if I'm not consistent with my skin care regimine). Curious, I tried it anyway. I am happy to say that it not only seems to make my skin look way better than it actually is (skin discolorations, uneven skin tone and the beginnings of wrinkles), but it hasn't broken me out in the 3 weeks I have been using it. A little goes a long way, I use about a fat pea size to cover my face and still have just a bit left over to touch up any area that I missed or that needs extra attention. I still have more than half a jar left, and would have more but the first few times of using it I got out too much. I use a small plastic utensil to get this out with, which I clean after every use to help prevent bacteria from entering into the jar/not using my fingers to get it out).Read more ›

Color: Ivory
Ok, confession time- I am pale. Not "I just haven't spent enough time in the sun this summer" pale, but "Let me slather this 100spf sunscreen on my Irish skin before I become a walking tomato" pale. And finding the right foundation shade to match my ghostly whiteness is difficult. I have pink undertones, and I've found that the majority of pale foundation shades have a strong orange or yellow tone to them. Even Loreal's lightest foundation in "cool" was too dark and yellow. I'd rather not look like I'm going into liver failure, thank you very much!
Now, about the product itself- It's the perfect shade! Yes, a little bit darker than my natural skin tone, but I don't mind because it gives me a little color, and I don't look like the undead.
-The "whipped creme" formula is so silky smooth and fun to use. I apply it with my fingers, and it doesn't feel greasy or sticky. I don't use a primer, and yet it stays all day.
-The packaging is great because you waste none of the product. With a bottle, you lose 20% of your foundation, despite multiple attempts to scoop the last bit out with a pencil.....or a Popsicle stick....or anything else you can get your hands on. (What? I never do that!)
- It doesn't change color over the course of the day. I don't know if you've ever had this problem, but I will apply foundation at the beginning of the day, and within a couple of hours, I'm a very interesting shade of orange. There's nothing more frustrating that leaving the house thinking you look hot, and then checking your car mirror two hours later to discover you look like you had a very bad fake tanning experience.

This is going to be my go-to foundation from now on. Now excuse me while I go stock up on it just in case it gets discontinued! ;)

Color: True Beige
I have this foundation in the color True Beige (330). This is a neutral color and works well for my skin in the summer (I am usually NC30 but in summer, I'm closer to NC35). At this point, I've tried a wide range of foundations and I'd put this in the top 2. This foundation and Estee Lauder Double Wear are literally the ONLY long-lasting foundations I've tried that can make it through a full day (12-16 hours). They won't look perfect at the end of the day but they break down evenly.

This foundation is an improvement in many ways over the original Colorstay in Combination/Oily. It is easier to apply because it doesn't dry as quickly and it doesn't have that heavy, paint-like feel. It leaves a nice natural looking matte finish and is easy to blend. I found the Original colorstay hard to blend. Also, the colors are slightly different and I've found that this foundation just looks better on me. Lasting power may be a bit better in regular Colorstay, but this one is great. I usually wear it with primer (Estee Lauder matte) and a setting spray (Urban Decay de-slick). I also wear setting powder. My favorite with this foundation is Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Plus. I always wear primer, setting spray, and setting powder with all foundations.

While I really love this foundation, it does have a few drawbacks. This is kind of pricey for a drugstore foundation. I believe it was over $13 at CVS. It is only 0.8 oz, so it contains less product than most foundations. Foundations (both drugstore and high end) are usually 1.0 oz. While the packaging looks nice, but it has several drawbacks. It's hard to get product out. I use a q-tip to scoop it out so it doesn't get under my nails.
