I was concerned that at only 5 watts per speaker it would be a little on the quiet side when compared to my Bose Docking Station which is reputed to have 50 to 60 watts of power (Bose don't like to be exact). However, trusting to Samsung's reputation I purchased the item from a local electrical store and found it was more than loud enough to fill my kitchen with crystal clear sound.

Samsung is a big company so I would expect them to produce high quality products at reasonable prices and this sound system is no exception. It is well built, good looking and whilst it won't deafen you on full volume it also won't distort your sounds either. By sending the music out at almost 180° Samsung have made a stereo docking station that actually sounds stereo. Clever stuff!

I still like my Bose system,its great for roof top parties and getting the attention of the entire neighborhood but at almost 4 times the price it should be powerful. The Samsung is exceptionally well made, relatively quiet and low powered but physically very solidly built; more so I would say than the Bose, and clear.

The swiveling docking point with two separate connectors will accept both Samsung and Apple MP3/phone products with an easy to use remote to control to control both the Apple player and the Samsung Docking Station. I think the Samsung connector only acts as a power supply and you have to use Bluetooth to play sound from a Samsung device?

I would have given the product 5 stars if it had a working USB and was capable of reading a flash drive as some web sites suggest it should be capable of doing. The existing USB on the model I bought in Saudi Arabia is sealed off with a sticker saying "For service use only", which I find a bit weird.

It works well charging my iphone. The Bluetooth works well with the occasional brief pause in the song. I tested it with the iPhone 5 30pin to lightning connector and plugged my wife's phone into it and it worked just fine. I am glad this unit will grow with my next phone purchase. The sound is good. My favorite feature is that charging adapter swivels back and forth to allow some play and not worry about the charging port being damaged. Overall a great purchase.

Kind of a pain to dock an S3, but once on, the Samsung app completes the bluetooth connection automatically. That's the only good thing about the Samsung app AFAIK...

Thanks to the previous reviewer alerting to the auto shut down "feature". I bought this to use as a stereo alarm clock too, after making sure there was an app available to override the auto shut down. The app sends a signal at a user selected interval to prevent shut down. The sound quality is not so great, so don't expect too much. It does the job as an alarm clock/night stand radio.

This is a good instrument, in a reasonable price, with a few little shortfalls.

The construction is good. I wish I got it in black color, but white also looks great.
The two connectors - one for iphone and one micro usb needs little attention to put two phones together on it. And though dock/cradle looks little flimsy, it hold them right.
The sound is good, but not great. The output is decent (good hi at full volume, but not loud) - that makes it good for an "enclosed" room upto 300 sq ft. That says, it won't give you enough sound output if you want to play it in outdoors, or yards, or even in big basement.
The bass is good, sounds full, even without the booster.
The treble is a problem here. All sort of high frequency sounds come out very mellow, mild and little suppressed. Though I use EQ to boost up the the treble on my phone, it reduces the level of treble.
And since the treble is little low, bass is okay, the overall sound is very pleasing - but not crisp. you may like to listen to Jazz on this, but may be not Rock.

The Bluetooth receiver is not too strong. There can always be found some static and disturbance - but it all depends on your room size and other parameters. Since I don't use it, I don't really care too much about it.

These horns have an excellent design, but the sound is not as good I expected. I thought it could sound better, and connection via bluetooth is difficult

This is a great speaker! it has two docks for both types of phones but i rarely ever dock it since the bluetooth works so well! i love not having to be attached by a cord and i can just lay in bed and not get up. its so great for parties. i highly recomend them!
