I purchased one from Wally World, knowing what not to expect, (for $18) This little camera fired right up with an 8GB class 10 card, pics are not exceptional but I think I can use it offshore when I need to document work without worrying about losing alot if I drop it in the gulf.. Pretty cool little toy for the price. As a matter of fact, cool stocking stuffers, or gifts for the little ones that just ain't ready for the high dollar camry. I may buy a couple more I reckon,.

Purchased this from another website. Opened the package, put in batteries and a 1GB SD card and pushed the power button. Camera froze at the startup screen. Called Digitac (800-983-7004). Keep that number handy if you buy this, it is not listed on any of the materials that come with the camera. Camera is defective. In order to get a replacement, I can ship it to them(at my expense), wait 2-3 weeks, and pay exactly what the camera cost me origionally ($15) for return shipping and handling. Waste of time and money...

Note: I have trouble holding cameras steady and this is only my second digital camera. I am still getting used to the lag time between when I take the picture and when it is actually taken. (I REALLY miss my little Kodak Elektralite 110. I got some beautiful pictures with that little critter.) I also bought it at Wally World, but only because I stumbled on it in the store the night before I was going to finish my Amazon shopping.

STILL PICTURES are not what I would call high-definition; unless the subject stays very still, they tend to be blurry. (Even when I steady the camera on something solid.)
VIDEO, however is quite good.
SOUND quality is terrible.
- There is a LOT of noise from the recorder. I didn't expect that at al, since there is no noise at all when filming.
- When played it back on the camera, I can't hear anything unless I hold it up to my ear. So I can listen OR watch, but not both.
- When played back on the laptop:
-- My voice blares out, but the person I'm speaking to can barely be heard. This is a BIG problem for me, since the people I'm usually recording are hard of hearing.
-- The recording range is about 6 feet if people are speaking in a normal voice -- IF I crank the volume on the PC/DVD player. This means I have to keep my finger on the volume control so I can turn it down whenever I (or whoever made the video) start talking.

I needed something cheap to tape doctor's appts for hard-of-hearing, forgetful people in case they had questions later or tried to dispute the doctor's instructions with me. This one was on sale at Wally World for $30.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry! Until today I don't think I've ever purchased a new electronic item that just did NOT work immediately after opening it! I bought mine at a store and I just tried to use it. I saw other reviews of the unlucky fools like me who had a dud the first time around. Wow... And I've even received Jazz brand things in the past as gifts and they always worked. I know it's less than $20, but you still expect it to at least turn on!

I bought this for my 9 year old. We took it on our Spring Break trip.
1. I suggest you buy an 8GB memory card when you buy the camcorder. (memory card has to be 8GB or less)
2. It requires 3 AAA batteries (not included)
3.This tiny camcorder worked better outside. When we used it inside the video was too dark.
4.The sound is not that good.
5.This camcorder can be used with a tripod.(not included)
5. We had some problems uploading some of the clips onto the computer.
6. I don't think you should rely on this product if what you are recording is important/special.
* For $18 dollars it is fine and if she breaks it I can easily replace it.
