Comparable to Medela products - Excellent Service!

I was not aware when I ordered these that they were not Medela brand; I thought Maymom was just the company selling the Medela product. But know when you order these, they are Maymom brand, not Medela brand sold my Maymom. This is not an issue - just a clarification! They work perfectly on my Medela Pump-In-Style Advanced pump! My order was short the two extra membranes, so that was a bummer, but doesn't affect the quality of the overall product. The valves and membranes come in a plastic container which is great; I have continued to use the container to carry extra valves and membranes in my bag without them floating around in my bag on their own. The only minor frustration with these is that they do not pull off the connector to be washed as easily as the Medela ones; I think it has something to do with the shape of them, but I always seem to struggle just slightly to get them to come off when I am ready to wash my pump parts. Overall, a great product for a less-expensive price - would definetly order this brand again!

*UPDATE: I just got an email from the Maymom company and the told me how to make these come off just fine and offered to send me the two membranes I was missing from my set - excellent customer service. I will order these again!!

I like these valves better than those that come with the Medela pump because they seem to empty better. You can't beat the affordable price from Maymom! Having extra valves and membranes on hand makes pumping at work tolerable and exclusive pumping wouldn't be possible without these.

Would give zero stars if possible

First time mom, sleep deprived purchase. I needed extra parts for my pump and was stressed about going back to work. I should've read the 1 star reviews, the membranes WILL NOT lie flat/flush with the valves which is a must in order to pump properly, I didn't notice this as first and it ended up hurting my supply which is the main reason I'm doing a review now to warn people. Please buy actual Medela valves. I tried replacing with all new membranes to see if that would help but it just seemed to be worse which is odd I know. Maybe 1 or them will allow the membrane to lie flush but again that's not helpful at all.

Great parts, but annoying to clean.

These are great replacement parts for Medela pumps. I didn't realize that I would have to replace the valves and membranes, but I'm sure glad I decided to do so. It makes a difference in terms of cleanliness and in terms of pumping output. I replace the valves and membranes about once every 6-8 weeks. The only downside is that they are hard to remove from the PersonalFit connectors, which makes cleaning a hassle. Sometimes I don't have time to thoroughly clean all of the parts, and unfortunately, even with hot and soapy water, milk residue remains in the valves and membranes. You really do need to separate all of the parts and clean inside them on a daily basis. Medela's milk-removing soap works very well if you only have time for a quick rinse. The microwavable steam-cleaning bags claim that they sterilize all of the parts, but milk residue will remain in these valves and membranes unless you scrub it all out with a brush.

Every mom who pumps should have these on hand

If you pump, you know that your breast pump won't function without the membranes. You also know how hard it can be to get the valves out of the other pieces for cleaning. I had two accidentally ripped off meaning I needed to wash every time I pumped. I was excited to see that replacements exist so you don't have to replace the entire part. This kit is great because it has both the valves and the membranes so you will be fully stocked. The membranes are fairly easy to replace/install and I like that everything comes in the handy carrying case keeping things safe (and clean) until you are ready to use them. A great product that everyone who uses a pump should know about.

I have the Medela Pump in Style and these fit perfectly with them. I wanted to change the ones that came with my pump after a few months of use as I’ve been informed that performance can degrade if not changed. Not sure I notice a difference but these work as intended and I have not had any issue. The 6 membranes and 4 valves come in a small plastic box and delivery was fast. I’d recommend getting this just to have on hand as I’ve nearly lost the membranes a few times after washing in the sink.
