I used these bulbs to replace our original 12 volt dc, 14 watts bulbs in our RV.
The original bulbs were causing the lens covers to darken and discolor from
what I assume is an over wattage bulb in the fixture. Replaced all the 14 watt
bulbs with these 12 watt new bulbs and the less heat from the drop in wattage
should help with the discoloration as well as provide the regulator with less
load. Both are a good thing. The brightness of the bulb is still quite adequate.

They are the bulbs that I need and work okay.
However, they arrived in a small bubble envelope and one side was completely crushed. No bulbs were broken, but the box they came in had to be discarded. I am not happy with the packaging. Need to be in a more stable container.

Quality control problems in my shipment.
1 bulb had one connection wire broken off so could not be used.
2 bulbs had measured resistance more than 10x normal so probably would have only glowed dimly.
Fortunately I only needed 4 bulbs so I had all I needed.
My bulbs were packaged differently than shown - in a box containing 2x5 bulbs.

I needed 3 of these bulbs for the upper brake light. Packs of 2 were from 4 to 5 bucks at the stores. Quick math, I needed 2 packs and I'd have an extra bulb to lose. So I decided to try my luck here on Amazon... 10 bulbs for less than 5 bucks! After some more investigating I found the other bulbs my cars use in packs of 10 for cheaper than the 2 packs you find at stores. Plus they come in a little box so you can keep track of them.
