Not a glamorous product, but like those of us who quietly do a job quite well, indispensable for the intended purpose. After years of buying and altering commercial sewing patterns, I've developed the confidence to admit that I have favorites. With the number of alterations necessary to sew clothes that fit me, the tracing paper weight patterns are just not durable enough to make many copies of the clothes I like. This tagboard weight paper will allow me to transfer the altered pattern to more sturdy stock with a longer useful life without breaking the bank. Too, after taking some video design classes, will allow me to draft my own slopers (a durable version of a pattern).

Admittedly, I did not know what "tagboard" was, but expected at least poster board weight since it said heavyweight. Not so. It was very similar to the 67lb cardstock I use for other projects and was not coated/sealed in any way - very absorbent IMHO. I decided to return the product since Amazon had been very accommodating in the past.

However, the product was shipped from the vendor and I had to go through them to get permission to return it - plus pay return postage. On a product that cost $30, the postage was $18. I guess the grandchildren will have lots of art paper for a while.

Otherwise, for someone who knows what tagboard is and uses it, they would most likely be happy with the product.

The poster board is thinner than I expected it to be. I wanted it to put jigzaw puzzles on but it's so thin I have to use 2 pieces for each puizzle. I'd recommend it for drawing on but not for puzzles.
