I had two of the larger white grills Hamilton Beach made and loved them. Why in heaven's name did they quit making that grill and continue making this one. I knew it wasn't a great grill but I wasn't finding what I wanted at a reasonable price so I ordered one. I had given one as a gift to my son and he never thought it was great either but then I blamed that fact on him putting his grills in the dishwasher and since I use mine so often I never put mine in the dishwasher so surely his problem would not be my problem. WRONG! I think it is actually much worse with mine. It also cooks the top on really high heat and the bottom on a much lower heat so I have learned to flip what I am cooking half way so it doesn't come out burnt on top and pale on the bottom. Either is not very enticing. Hate is a strong word but I have completely stopped using my grill and gone back to broiling my meals.
