Our 40 lb Beagle/Golden mix, Toby, was 13 years old and getting both confused and he seemed depressed. He slept all the time and even having his favorite relatives over to visit did not cheer him up. The vet saw him and detected that he was in pain. She started him on Tramadol, plus Deramaxx. She also suggested we start on Phycox for his arthritis and Neutricks for his doggy dementia. Toby was his old self within days. No longer in pain, he wanted to do things other than sleep. After a few months on Phycox, we discontinued the Tramadol, and there was no difference in his behavior. The Phycox had taken over and was treating his arthritis well enough that he no longer needed the synthetic narcotic. He still takes Deramaxx at dinner and we use his Phycox and Neutricks as his bedtime treats. Believe me, he TELLS me that it is time for his bedtime! A year and a half later, he is still going strong. I laugh because when my husband lets him in the patio door, Toby charges into the house as if he were expecting something special in here. He flies right through the room and has to circle back to say hello! That's my happy Toby boy! He does not wince when we touch his spine, and he shows interest in his surroundings again.

Use these for my older dog that was limping. He takes the Phycox like a treat every morning but did not care for the treats that came with it. I have used these for years and will continue. My dog no longer limps from his arthritis.

My vet recommended this product to me for my - at the time he was 5 years old - Akita who had developed some arthritis in his front left leg and would limp frequently after laying down. After 6 months of daily Phycox, he has not limped in 4 months. It took about 2 months for this to start working and I give it to him daily with his food. He refuses to eat them, but if I crush them up (they are soft chews, he's just a picky jerk :) ) and mix with his food, he is fine. I have had no issues with this and him getting sick. I think somethings work for some dogs and some don't, so I would say give it a shot and if you see results - AWESOME, stick with it - but if it makes your dog sick, then try something else! I give my 4 year old lab Trader Joe's Glucosamine Chondroitin for Dogs daily since he hasn't had any joint issues and this will hopefully help to prevent them - and they are also a wonderful product.

These are wonderful. I had purchased some from my vet several years ago and still has the container. They work wonders for little rat terrier. She doesnt hurt anymore and she eats them like theya re candy. Can't live without them now. The treats were a little hard to eat for smaller dogs.

My dogs love the flavor and it helps them get the extra nutrients that makes them healthy. Feed good food and these as treats and you will have your dog living to 20! The only downside is feeding 3 dogs at $40 a pop as I burn through them. Time to order in bulk.
