This item arrived extremely scratched with rough metal all along the top of the hinged part that goes against the instrument strings. Once out of the package, the rubber material smells so bad it causes headaches. I contacted the seller for a replacement that has yet to arrive after six weeks. Don't waste your time or money on this junk made in China. I should have spent a little more and gone with a well made capo by Shubb instead.

If I were you, I wouldn't buy it. It doesn't clamp down hard enough, so the top E string doesn't sound right at all inless you get it in the perfect spot. And with being on stage, you don't have time to worry and fuss about that, or that it might move. It's kind of cheap, so spend the extra $5-$10 and get something you can actually use and won't have to return. Something I wish I would have done.

This capo works really good. It does not scratch your guitar and it presses down firmly on the strings. It is easy mount, move, and dismount. And the color is just awesome.

I bought this capo cause there were a few songs I wanted to learn that used a capo. I found this one to be one of the cheapest and it exceeds what I paid for it it is wonderfully made and works like a dream I highly recommend and would compare it to higher priced capos.

What I ordered: a beautiful blue capo for a price within my budget

What I got: a capo that resembled the picture only in design. The color is nothing near what it looks like in the picture. It looks gently used as well, even though I ordered it new. Even so, it works as a capo; just a little disappointed with the company doing the shipping.

One other minor pet peeve is the packaging it came in. This is exactly what it says on the package:
"Fanst and easy to operate
No adjustments required
Clamps on any fret
Fits comfortabiy in your hand."
And more of the same on the back:
"Professional quality good fun achievements
1, High grade metal materials.Strong rust resistance.
2, Comfortable for your hand when operating
3, Shining appcarance,elegance and fashion
4, Suitable spring force.. protecting your guitar better."

To me, the above reflects a low sense of professionalism and poor craftsmanship quality.

i bought a cheapo capo on ebay before that lasted me 8 years so i thought this one would suit me fine. i think it's a hit or miss for these no brand china products because the capo i got doesn't hold down the strings! it'll hold 3-4 of them and the other two dud. it's pretty awful, pay a bit more for a capo that works!

and not that i care but if you mind the aesthetics it's definitely made poorly. the glue is visible and looks like it was used.

Since my girlfriend ran off with my capo, I was searching for a new one. Being a tight ass, and seeing that this capo had pretty good reviews (at least at the time I purchased this), I hit the buy button. After using this thing for a few days, I've this to say - don't buy this thing. It's junk. It's cheaply made junk. It doesn't work well. If you're serious about the guitar, or just want a capo that works dependably and easily, pass on this one. You'll be happy you did.
I was happy when my girlfriend came back, along with my capo.

I can't recommend this capo if you are performing live and switching the capo, unless you have time to ring out every string and re-adjust the capo until each string sounds true. If you do have time to make it right each time then this could save you a few bucks. As an emergency backup I guess it is better than no capo at all!
