I bought this stand for a very simple home recording setup that includes a Behringer C-1 Condenser Microphone. It's very solidly made, a breeze to setup, and simple to adjust. I am able to easily move it out of the way, keep it near the area where I want to use it, if I have the need, and I simply swing it in and out of position when I know I'm going to be working with my sound recording setup.

The end where the microphone attaches does have the proper fitting for the condenser mic I bought, which came with a holder. It included a clip to make managing the XLR cable easy.

I went with this boom stand because I didn't want something on my desk and was thinking about potential other uses, including for my son's use in a band, or for setting up a small P.A. system for a speaker at small meetings and other events. It seems very versatile and I look forward to using it for a long time to come.

I received this stand November 3 and am completely satisfied. I travel with the stand a minimum of three times a week, so it gets a workout. It's very sturdy and holds up well for this traveling musician. It doesn't come with a mic clip, which I favor, as I have my own that I prefer over the cheap plastic "free" mic clips that come with some stands.

I'm an avid fan of the saying "you get what you pay for" and in this case all i needed was a boom miv stand for rehearsals. On arrival i was pleased, arrived on time, well packaged and at a glance worth the money I paid.

A few weeks later and only used for rehearsals, the top apex arm threaded, that is to say it became loose and i notice that it would not thread back on. Couple of things could of happened, sure over tightened, poor design, or just simply a Friday afternoon knock off. My solution was gorilla glue the clasp directly onto the thread which has created a solid bonding of the two sections.

Needless to say I’ve given it three stars based on the issues I’ve personally had with it, if it wasn't for the fact that someone out there might by using this for more than just rehearsals but intends on using it for gigs, it wouldn't stand up to the pounding, at least the product I have. Otherwise, if you looking for a boom mic. cheap and simple, this is for you.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I bought this as a solution for mounting and accessing my mic when I'm a t the mixing desk or playing a keyboard. It's everything you'd expect in a boom stand; there's not much to say about that. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and the joints stay tight and the stand holds its position over a long period of time.

I can see why people might be frustrated that this doesn't come with any mic clips- just know if you buy it that you'll need to supply your own. Also, some reviewers have complained that its plastic construction might lead to stripped screwholes. I've not had an issue with this, and after several adjustments, I've not noticed any wear or looseness. Just know that you're getting a product composed largely of plastic, which should be expected at this price point.

Recommended for someone looking for a quick, inexpensive mic-stand solution.

I'm using this to hold my mic up near my head level for when I do my gameplay commentaries, and it does the job. The only issues I have involve one of the balls at the end of the pin that tightens the arm falling off (glue did the trick there) and the arm will gradually lower itself if it isn't tight enough. Also, be wary if you have a heavier mic as it will cause the entire stand to tip if you don't have it aligned properly.

These are all issues that can be worked around though so I can't complain too much, especially with the price.

This Mic Stand works great. It is easy to set up and, once the screws are turned to keep it in place, it stays where it is supposed to. I've used this two dozen times and I've yet to have "droopy mic" syndrome. And, the price is way affordable. 5 stars, especially at this price!

Really like this mic stand. I play bass and sing in a worship and praise band and so far this mic stand has held up. Watch it cause I've notice the price changes alot one day it's less that $10.00 another it's over $25.00 don't know why but it changes???

This is a good stand for at home or light use but the bottom I have found is not heavy enough and tips when using a dual phantom power pack. I will say I did not have any issues when using a single phantom pack but would advise anyone to consider one with a heavier base to ensure the stand is stable.
