We bought this for our energetic 2 year old. We also have a 5 year old and a 4 year old. This horse has definitely withstood all the abuse from all three toddlers. They drag it around, up and down stairs, rock it and hard as they can. It holds up very well. The pieces are all still attached and it's been several months. Occasionally the saddle does start to twist a little but it is an easy fix. You just twist it back. We looked for quite a while for the right kind of rocking horse and we got very lucky that we chose this one. It's just the right thing!

Wonderfully crafted and very detailed Rocking Horse! The bridle, saddle, reins and stirrups makes it look very realistic! The colors, soft fur, the red bandanna and the sound the horse makes are playful. A baby shower gift that he will be able to grow into and have fun with for many years to come. The saddle back goes up a bit for support, he will need to be guided carefully until he can sit upright on his own with little assistance & there are wooden bars to hold onto. Very easy to assemble, great size & I'm sure this will turn into a family heirloom, overall a great purchase! The discount offered by Amazon's "Prime" membership, the price was well below the actual value.

Bought for my two year old granddaughter. My 5 1/2 year old granddaughter is too big for it. But the two year old has room to grow into it. She loves the sounds that it makes when you push the button in the ear. It is not just one sound all the time, at one point it will continue and make galloping noises and neighing.

We were very happy with the rocking horse when we first received it. However after 2 months the sound quit working when the button is pushed on one of the ears (One side still works though). Our biggest concern is how easy this horse tips over. Our son just turned 2 and within 10 seconds of rocking it the legs on it are so short that if we aren't standing right next to him to stop it the horse will tip over forwards or backwards while he is on it. He can no longer use this rocking horse without us standing right next to him so we had to put it away. Longer rocking legs would solve this issue. What a waste.
