You would think a chamber mop would fit into the chamber. On my Remington 700 I can get the thing in no problem from the rear with the bolt removed. But as others have stated there is a hidden grommet-type doodad in the base of the unit that seems designed specifically to prevent the mop from entering the chamber. I suppose I could cut the thing off and then it would become useful. Or I could go buy another mop from someone else that doesn't have this stupid thing added to it.

Good mop, but as others have mentioned, right at the beginning of the cotton swap area, there is a giant hexagon shaped piece of metal. This is hidden in the photo by the cotton, or just a different image completely. The metal is not brass, and does prevent the full mop from being inserted into the chamber. Lame... but still a good mop as I could get it in through the ejection port

The picture doesn't show you that there is a hard round gromet that doesn't allow it to slid into the chamber. I will have to cut and trim the pad for it to get past the first bolt ring. I bet it would be really nice once in the chamber! Might be me, but weird that you have to break off the solid holding pad for it thru the bolt hole.
