The other hardware in this series seems to be higher quality than this -- I've installed several each of the privacy and hallway handles, and they work well. The inside handle on this lockset is very loose, and cannot be tightened. Another review notes the same thing, so I suspect it is a design flaw and not a problem with the individual item. The appearance is moderately consistent with the others in the series; the handles are attached with a spring-loaded detent, rather than a hexagonal fitting and a setscrew.

I have to say I was not pleased with these. I used the comparable interior model for all of my interior doors and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of those. Internally and cosmetically the quality of materials is very good with these... very little plastic etc. However the manufacturing tolerances are bad. First off the mechanism to take the handle off so you can switch from left hand to right hand is a sort of button you press in to pull off the handle. This makes the handle feel very loose like others mentioned. The interior handles I got and every other handle I have seen like this uses an allen bolt to set it so you can actually tighten it down. Second the whole mechanism is just loose. It turns fine and everything like that but the handle just wiggles around like crazy. I am sure it would last plenty long enough it just feels very cheap. I went to lowes and purchased the Kwikset Balboa Satin Nickel Entry Lever and Single Cylinder Deadbolt Combo Pack. Both Home depot and Lowes sell these for $40. They look almost the same but feel much more sturdy. For a little extra money you get something that feels much sturdier and they will key all the locks the same for you if you are buying multiple.

I fully agree with the review by J Rottman. I installed several of the privacy and the passage lock sets, and they were good. They feel solid and work fine. It is a different story for the key-locked door knobs. I took them to a locksmith to get them all keyed on an existing key I have been using. The locksmith had a very difficult time re-keying them, and commented, "this will be a legend for me." It took a team of 3 locksmiths at this store to try different ideas to get the sets re-keyed. It took them about 35 minutes to do two of these sets. They said the metal was very soft. The locking mechanism seems very flimsy and loose-fitting.

I love the look & it was easy to install. My only complaint is that there is a small dent in the outer ring of the upper deadbolt & I don't know how to get it replaced. I would've given it 5 stars if it hadn't arrived with a dent which I didn't discover until I had already installed the door levers & wasn't going to take them back out since it came as a package deal.

It's just okay, for the price I suppose it's what should be expected. You can tell it isn't the highest quality as far as beefiness is concerned. Installation was straightforward. I did have to reverse the handle which was simple. I've had it in use for two months and it still works just fine and isn't sloppy and floppy.

I purchased this model for my back door in May 2015. The handle mechanism failed in Oct. Amazon will not replace the lock referring my to their distributor after 5 phone calls and numerous emails I was advised they would not send a replacement since other companies sell via Amazon.

I purchased a total of 15 indoor legend locks which are working fine.

Just don't expect them to have a warranty as stated.

I like these door handles a lot. They are pretty good. I actually paired this handle together with the Legend 809136 Biscuit Style knob and was able to make one side the biscuit knob style and the other side a lever style. I wanted to do it that way because we have dogs, and they are smart enough to use levers. So now, we have levers on the exterior of our house and biscuit knobs on the interior. It's a pretty good combination.

The quality of the knobs and handles are pretty good and I was able to re-key them myself by using a standard Kwikset rekeying kit. I like the brushed metal finish. They look elegant and have really made a difference visually. I now have these on 4 doors for my home.
