Here is a little help with some of the problems people are having with these step pads. First of all if u orderThe steps then order the pads, they should come with the steps but they dont so spend the extra money and make em look right! The first problem people are having are the screws that are supplied with the pads will rust so dont even waste ur time putting them in. Order some stainless steel 10-24 x 3/4 button head cap screws and some nylon locking nuts then when ur steps arrive drill the holes in the steps for the pads out with a 3/16 drill bit and install with stainless then there will b no rust worries. The only other thing i did was use a bench grinder to take some of the edge off from a few of the pads since they were sitting on the welds of the steps and not lying completely flat, this bothered me so i just took some off so they would lay flat. These pads r very thick and well made so should last just as long as the steps, hope this helps!

Just as everyone else reviewed, these are pricey, high-quality, but the screws! Stupid thing is, these rock boards/nerf bars are pre tapped for 10-31 stainless! Somebody in management/accounting decided to save a few dollars and switch the stainless screws to some generic pieces of crap. Save yourself the time, take a trip to the hardware store, get some angled head stainless steel 10-32 screws and it'll be perfect with some Loctite or nylon nuts.

I really wished these came with longer screws that were better quality, but I found a better set of screws at a local hardware shop, and now I’m not worried they will fly away. The step pads look great, and have plenty of grip to safely step into my truck.

Pros:
The pads are very nice, and they improve the look and grip of the RockSteps so much that I can't imagine anybody NOT buying them.

Cons:
1) I don't know what these pads cost to make, but $90 seems excessive for 4 small/simple pieces of poly

2) The fact that they ship with screws that rust right away, and would rust off within months, is ridiculous given the application and price paid. Easily addressed, but very annoying that I had to spend more money and my own time buying stainless steel screws, painting them black, and swapping them out.

Net-Net: Great product, mandatory piece of the puzzle imho, just docking two stars in the hopes that they notice and get the message that they need to splurge on some decent screws.

The step pads themselves are fine. They fit well and seem to enhance the look of the steps. The screws sent with the pads are not stainless steel and rusted off within a few months. Are screws that big of a deal, probably not. Is loosing a pad at 55 mph that big of a deal? I am tired of manufactures not considering the application of their products prior to packaging them up. Make sure you replace the screws you receive with stainless screws at installation and save yourself the frustration.

Pretty expensive items. I figured these would come with the body armor steps to begin with, but regardless they make the steps look awesome. I would recommend looking for the used/refurbished. I am giving it 4 stars just because the price is so high. Other than that the hardware and packaging was very nice.
