First off I will say when I saw the name of this game, I honestly thought it was a spelling puzzle game. Boy was I wrong! It is a game of spells as in magic and wizards. It is not my typical genre of games, but I actually liked it. While it took me a little bit to understand the game, I'm old and for tweens and teens it might be self-explanatory! The graphics of the game are super colorful and fun that its not hard to get excited about the game. You tap around the screen to use spells and battle with wizards. It is a fun family game or one to just let off steam! The little guys make us laugh and even though we may not know what we are doing 100%, we have fun!

The gameplay is a lot of fun and, although the rules are quite easy to understand, the games are challenging and I had a lot of pleasure playing with my child or vs other adults. The technology that enables the little plastic characters to interact with the iPad is magic! It brings a lot to the experience and you can really feel you are playing a board game, with the animations adding even more fun.
The four characters are very nice and their powers well balanced. I recommend matches with Landor vs Noxius. Very different ways of playing, but instructive.

I received a review copy of this game. Although I've enjoyed playing it some with my young son (just entering school), there really isn't a whole lot of strategy to be had here. There are things to fiddle with on the iPad and the little plastic pieces make it interactive, but I just can't quite see this as a game - just not enough strategic decisions. Timing and a bit of choices are there but not much. If you're looking for an actual game, look elsewhere. If you want a cute toy with figures that interact with your iPad (most of the time), it isn't bad.
