This dolly is a great buy for anyone who wants to improve their videos with subtle motion and revolving shots. It's refreshing to be able to add professional-level zooms, pans, and rotations without needing to buy a complex/expensive dolly system.

The iStabilizer rolls on four rollerblade wheels, which provide smooth control and a stable base. Each pair of wheels is attached on an axis which can rotate 60 degrees in each direction for curved paths. The iPhone/smartphone is mounted on a spring-loaded pressure holder which is included in the package. A removable arm helps you position the smartphone in the mount. NOTE: there is no suspension for the smartphone, so big bumps and cracks that the dolly rolls over will shake the video. Fix this by filming on smooth surfaces or by laying a piece of hard plastic/metal over the ground.

The box arrived with the dolly ready for action--just put the bottom spacers and knobs on each axis and screw on the arm and mount. Pretty simple setup!

Overall, a great buy for budding videographers and people who want to take creative shots with their smartphone camera. Especially for $50.

There are some products that once you see (and use) them you wonder, "Why didn't I think of that!" The Dolly by iStabilizer is one of those products. It is a fully functions tripod on a pivoting arm that is fastened to a base that uses for wheels (with bearings - just like rollerblades) that allows you to filming rolling and panning shots. The dolly allows to pick the angle (or arc) that you can roll for your arc. This is an expensive way to capture some very impressive looking videos.

Notes-

- Works well with iPhones using a pressure clamp to hold your phone (or other device) into place.

- Works with any camera or video camera that allows for a threaded tripod connection. The camera stays in place and is surprisingly well balanced.

- When using the flexible arm you must always turn to the right otherwise you begin to unscrew it from the base.

- The front and back wheels can be angled in order to make very measured arcs. Although at times it seems like the axle/arm has a tendency to come loose.

- The flexible arm can be adjust to nearly in position - which is good, but at times it can make it difficult to get a perfectly level shop.

Final Verdict - I really enjoy the Dolly by iStabilizer - it isn't exactly perfect but at this price point it would be difficult to find a tool that allowed you this much flexibility in filming.

I like taking time lapse photography using my gopro camera. This dolly works great for that and for phone camera usage. The wheels are of good quality and minimize the bumps. The lock down on the steering could be a little bit better, however, for the price, this product is VERY well made. If you want professional quality then upgrade from this item. If you want something that allows you to take great smooth multi angle pictures, this is going to give you hours of fun and entertainment!!

As other reviews have said, be sure to sand off the extra 'flash' on the wheels. This does help.

It isn't perfectly smooth, but it is fairly good, especially for the price. I recommend this for anyone on a budget.

Great for video dolly shots but sometimes with the arm it has wobble with how long it is. I would recommend buying a tripod head and sticking it on the base of the actual dolly for a more stable dolly.

I bought this product to use with the smartphone mount (which I bought separately from istabilizer) and my iPhone 6+ and I love it. I haven't found any good uses for it other than to record random things I am doing and post them on the internet. I have found a million different ways to use the dolly, it is an incredibly versatile dolly and works great as a stand for filming from the phone. It holds my 6+ really well which if you don't know is a huge phone. If you are looking for a way to film your products or just a way that you can get better video from your phone this is a great buy. Or if you are looking for a way to be able to pretend your phone is a pet and walk it with a leash it works great for that too!

I'd have paid twice as much for some sort of shock system on this thing.. but it is great on extremely flat surfaces for a much more professional looking shot, and has a (surprisingly) very solid design. Do be careful with the black rubber stopper, i've luckily found mine on the ground each of the 2-3x it has fallen off the dozen or so times Ive used it, usually from transporting it via shoulder bag. I now always keep them in my 5th pocket while I'm using.. I also bought the iStabilizier mini-tripod with the octopus legs and kept them both, I found they're equally useful in various settings.

Don't expect miracles, but this thing is worth having if you're into more than shooting selfies. Perfect for on-the-fly productions for musicians, youTube and Vine enthusiasts, and I could see even professional filmmakers getting a kick out of this - would probably be great for location scouting and composing scenes.
