We tried to cut this with a number of items including wire&bolt cutters as well as a hack saw. nothing could cut it, as its very stong. bends, but not very easily. I had to bend it back &forth about 4x to get break. the coating is thick & I had to cut through it first. I bought this to make a Victorian extra tight corset. At $4 the price was very good, however the shipping was$6. shipping should not cost more than the product. All in all though- its pretty good product. I will be buying more.

The steel coils are exactly what I was looking for to replace the plastic boning in my renaissance corset, it's very strong but bending it over cuts it right where I need it to & then pounding out the edges if they curl a little.yes I would recommend this item.

this stuff is ok. probably the hardest you can buy on here. i cant find this type at thestore in my area. its thin in whith not dept so once you cut it its hard to find caps that will fit. id recommend buying pre-cut. and from corsets. com

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURE. The product you receive isn't nearly that much (unless you order at least ten times the quantity. What you receive is more like a sample product that wouldn't nearly be enough to make a corset. To be honest it would barely be enough to make a simple neck corset. Then the shipping is higher because they put about $100 worth of shipping insurance on a $4 product. Then when you attempt to send it back they do not refund your shipping and you have to pay to ship the item back yourself so you basically lose $12 to get back $4. There are much better prices than this on websites like etsy or corsetmaking.com. You could probably even get a better price on ebay. In the end, while it seems like a good deal, it really isn't worth it. I took pictures of how little you get and I will try to get them posted as soon as possible.
