Does accurately measure your heart rate,(current and resting), calories burned, steps, etc. This watch requires you to pause your motions for 5 seconds while you touch its sensor to catch your heart rate. Sometimes it doesnt get your heart rate on the first try but almost always, it does. This is the best you can get short of having a goofy chest strap. I wanted something I could wear and get heart rate any time all the time and am very happy with this. I will repurchase if I manage to break mine, but it is durable and water resistant to 50 meters(can hop in pool with it but not reccomended/dont press buttons, shower and splash safe). It weighs no more than most regular watches, has a large face that may seem ridiculous on very tiny wrists(I am female with average guy sized wrists) the band will fit all wrists, from average woman to thick man wrist, 9 inches. You can make it fit a small wrist but it will not look pretty. It does have a glow feature and very large print. I use it as my every day watch and overall health monitoring tool. I use it to make sure im not getting into the danger zone while working out but am still achieving a great cardio workout.

The PROS: After several attempts to use the fitbit products, the jawbone and other various watch type devices, this model seems to be the only one worth its price. Easy to program, versatile, waterproof, and very accurate with the gym equipment for heart rate and calories burned after my workout.

The CONS: The strap holder that the end tucks into broke off within the first year. Within the 2nd year the display painted names on the buttons wore off completely. (I wear it 24 hours a day so it was easy to remember which button did what)

I'm looking to buy the exact same model again this year, simply because its worn and beat up and looks silly with a rubberband holding the strap down lol. But since its the only device that accurately measures heart rate, steps, calories, and also has the watch features, alarm and Timer in one device, I am sticking to what I know works. This is used for running, biking, walking, aerobics class and weightlifting, and of course knowing the time :)

Thanks Sportline.

Watch is a nice size, actually does everything it is suppose to do as far as the steps, calories, etc. Sometimes you have to try more than one time to get the heart rate monitor to register. But it is a really good watch and works well. Great price also!

I bought this item used and it was well worth the $11 I spent. I've worn it everyday since I received it. It does what I need it to. I wanted a pedometer, heart rate tracker, calorie tracker combo that did not require a wireless/bluetooth connection and this does the job.

I subtracted 1 star because of 2 negatives about the watch's function:

1) The pedometer and calorie tracker do not reset automatically and as a result you end up tracking more than one day of data if you don't remember to manually reset the watch at a consistent time of day.
2) The Fit Trac function, which uses changes in your average resting heart rate to track your fitness, is difficult to work. According to the manual you tap face of the watch to take your resting heart rate. However sometimes I tap the face 10+ time and nothing happens. Other times the face will be brushed accidently and an elevated heart rate will be tracked and as a result your average heart rate is incorrect.

This is an overpriced pedometer/watch...

This watch doesn't get your heart rate most of the time. And you have to hold the button down (which if you try to do while exercising is very difficult). After about 4 -5 seconds if it your heart rate doesn't register, it will give up and go back to the time. It registers the heart rate about 1 out of 5 times.

It would be great if you could just touch the button (and not have to hold it down) and it kept searching until it got your heart rate. Maybe the next version will do that.

The band is not the comfortable and pinches the skin. It is not the type that can be replaced with a normal band as it is integrated into the face of the watch.

DO NOT BUY this clunker...

OK, I've only had it for several days and it has lived up to it's claim. I looked for almost 2 weeks before I selected this one. Features and no strap sold me. Got the the Lady one but had difficulty finding a mans version. I wanted to find out how my 10+ year routine actually fared. My Primary Care Doc gave me a scrip to go to the gym years ago. And I walk the bluffs boardwalk a couple of times a week. I had a stress test many years ago and wasn't able to get my HR over 122. At the gym I do the elliptical and it gets up to the same. But what surprised me was the bluffs walk. I get it up to 156. The watch tells me I'm in fat burn and up to around 96% of capacity. I'm not a calorie counter or much on distance but steps is nice to know. Gives your HR in seconds. No Strap!
Cons: It's bigger than I thought it needed to be. But it fits well enough on my wrist. I have medium bones. Probably not as big as some of the smart watches you see.

One of the few heart rate monitors I was able to find without the strap. It works pretty well for the most part, and also tracks steps and calories, but you do have to stop your workout to text your heart rate, it's not continuous. The battery was dead when I got it, so I had to replace it immediately, but for the price it's works for what I need. Better than spending $200+
