I love to play cajon and this wood block is amazing (as is the clave of similar make). I highly recommend it as it sounds great and can really give you some great sound options when playing cajon. this is a great product.

My cajon is wood color and - I'm being picky - but I purchased white dual lock tape as the black tape that comes with this really sticks out a little more than my liking.

This is a great idea. I have this mounted between my two congas, and can now do conga and clave patterns at the same time. It sounds great. A few minor complaints: You can end up double tapping if you don't hit it carefully (because the metal spring piece is a little weaker than I'd like it to be), and the points where it connects to the mounting bracket are a bit loose, causing it to occasionally rattle when I hit a conga.
