I choose this item over few others because it was pictured in a storage can which would be very handy and the can represents an added value to the product itself. But the item arrived in a cheap plastic zip bag and the zip line did not even work. Other than that it's citric acid product that worked just like any citric acid product would.

This product worked great to descale a coffee maker. The Senseo web site now recommends using a citric acid solution to descale the machine every 3 months instead of using white vinegar. I was unable to find citric acid in any store in my area. So I was happy to find it on Amazon. Good price and fast shipping.

Judging from the picture, I thought I was getting a plastic tub of citric acid. It came in a plastic baggie. Not a big deal, but I really was looking forward to the tub.

I still have the bag full of citric acid. I went through a stage where I thought I would can my own jam. That stage ended after I bought self-sealing mason jars and this bag of citric acid.
