This wide angle add on lens gives you SO many additional options framing your underwater photos, a must have if you own the Sea Life DC1400 camera. One critical word of warning, you MUST switch the focus from Auto to Macro or Supermacro every time you snap the wide angle lens on. All you photos and videos will be severely out of focus otherwise.

After a few frustrating dives with everything out of focus, discovered I had the camera set on "QUICK SHOT". Once I changed that setting - wow - beautiful pictures now. Lucky I live in Hawaii where we have such beautiful fish and reefs so I can practice before a vacation in the Philippines later this year.

Took a bunch of pictures in Bonaire with this lens, and they were the best I took by far. Timing and focus are issues that need to be practiced, just like everything, but with the Sealife camera, it worked well.

Like it a lot. I don't use the Sea Life flash, so there is nowhere to mount the docking port. Seems like Sea Life would allow it to also mount to the tripod stud, but that's minimal. Glad I had it tethered to the camera with a lanyard. Got bumped by a shark while filming and the lens was knocked off.

I am new to taking pictures underwater, but found this to be a fun addition. I love how it snaps on and off, and has a place on the sea life bar to store it while underwater when not using it.
