Exactly what I needed to replace an AC adaptor that died after only 6 months of use (and Panasonic just plain refused to replace, even though it was under warranty).

I was hesitant to buy based on the review of a buyer plugging one in and it immediately catching fire. The question: Risk Fire to save $15 off the Panasonic OEM or shell out a little extra? Since our phone system is several years old, I took the cheaper option on the belief that these cheaply manufactured, relative simple electrical products lack quality control. In other words, if you get a bad one, it's bad from the start. Otherwise, with no mechanical parts, if it works when you first plug it in, chances are it'll last as long as any OEM. I plugged it in - no fire. I left it plugged in for a while to make sure it didn't heat up. Then I tested it with my multi-meter and both voltage and amperage matched the Panasonic I compared it to. It's been plugged in a working now for over a month with no issues. Thus, I've decided the unit I received was inexpensive rather than cheap. If you're willing to risk the hassle of exchanging a bad unit (or 2) for a good one (a hassle Amazon makes relatively painless) save the money and buy this one. Otherwise shell out a few bucks for the genuine Panasonic. But chances are they were made on the same assembly line anyway...

This seller was a lifesaver! My cat chewed the cord for every adapter (had 6) on my Panasonic. I was told by my Veterinarian this is because it sounds like "purring" to some cats. Bought a new Panasonic phone, it was hardwired, and I hated it. It's a throwaway if the cord gets damaged...you can't replace it. I purchased as many of these as I could and am now using my old phone again. Now I have many spares, and no worries.

Works perfectly. I was concerned at first because while the picture looks exactly like the adaptor that stopped working which I am replacing, what I received looks slightly different. But it works perfectly and I can charge my phone again.

Bought 2 of these December 30th and received them the first of the new year. One of them has already s*** the bed. I'm not a happy camper. I don't blame the seller; I blame Panasonic for putting out such a piece of crap product. I bought a phone set with a base and 3 satellite phones and I have had to replace all the Adaptors once already so counting the originals and the replacements, I'm on round 3 now. Nice phones, but they should make good on these inferior adaptors. The seller sent the product I requested and in a prompt manner.
UPDATE: Just purchased two more because as I said above, the replacements already failed. One of the new replacements was bad out of the box. This has to be the worst product Panasonic ever sold. These must be outsourced because I can't imagine Panasonic making something this terrible. When it failed, I thought maybe the batteries were bad, so I replaced them. When it still failed to charge the phone, I tried the phone on another cradle and I charged fine, so it was obviously the adaptor.

Don't buy!
It's not working !
I bought two of them and both are not working. I recieved them after a long time (not their problem) and I wrote them that they are not working. They didn't want to change them.

Photo makes it look like the exact replacement that came with my phone, but it's not. Interestingly enough, when I write this review, the photo in the review is not the same as the photo on the selling page. I have attached a photo of what they sent me, which appears the match the photo on the review page, but not the photo on the selling page.

Works exactly as expected. This plug is identical to the stock plugs that ship with my Panasonic KX-TG7644M phone set.
