I use both 16oz and 8oz bottles for enamel and lacquer thinner dispensing.
All the flip top bottles I have ordered have been made of the correct HDPE plastic
which will hold up to any chemical I have used in the fields of Sign, Graphics, Auto, and guitar
creation and finishing that I get into.
In the past I have ordered bottles made of LDPE (L for low density #4)that are useless for acrylic
enamel thinners, and will start leaking within a day or two, and should only be used for water based
liquids.
It would be nice if this (very important)information was included in all product blurbs, but I rarely
see it, and you are stuck with a hit and miss situation.

I like these better with the the flip spout compared to the flip open cap. This is just a personal preference. I have put all kinds of liquids into these containers, and they've been perfect so far. I recently put about 8 oz of Leather Honey in one, and it performed flawlessly with no leaks. I've also used them for liquid hand soap, shower gel, and dishwashing liquid. All perfect so far. I read another review where somebody took a similar item full of soap or shampoo on an airplane, and it leaked. I haven't tried that with these, so I can't advise you, but I have carried them around in bags and boxes with no problems so far. That being said, I also cannot guarantee their performance, not having tried that, but they've been good so far. Realistically, these are a 2-part bottle, so there shouldn't be too much to go wrong with them...

I got tired of the large dish soap bottles in my sink. I had found a smaller bottle, punched a hole in the cap and was trying to make that work but it kept leaking and making everything a mess. I ordered these for different reasons. Now my soap is nice and neat with a cap that I can open and close. I have also used some to keep cooking oil in so I don't have to lug the bigger heavier jars in and out of the pantry. I'm sure I will continue to find good use for the rest of the bottles that came with the order. A good investment.

I use these for carrying Murphy's Oil Soap to clean client's homes. Holds enough for several uses and do not get clogged that easily. Need to soak my lids in hot water or run through clothes washer to remove dried up soap in lid.

I bought these to make bubble blowing solution for my 2 year olds party and hand them out as favors. I put the solution in there w/ handmade labels and put them on their side in the original box. The next day I go to load them for the party and 10 of the 12 bottles had leaked in the box. It was too late to get more bottles so I had to pass them out to the kids and tell the parents not to turn the bottles on their side in transport home. Nice gift huh?

Bottles are fine, with enough squeeze for liquids (it's hard HDPE plastic.) Problem is that the lids fit poorly. Some are hard to tighten and harder to remove. Some turn only 1/4 turn to tighten and don't seal properly, and many fail the squeeze test (fill bottle half full of water, tighten lid and close flip top, squeeze over sink.) I think these might not be the right lids for the bottles. Bottles are made by Plastirey Containers of Ontario, California. Lids have no identifying marks.

I received a dozen, then contacted seller who kindly expedited another dozen to me. I wound up with a dozen that don't leak when squeezed, but the lids still don't feel right. I've gotten much better ones at a health food store that sold refillable bottles for bulk soap and lotions -- but again, those bottles weren't HDPE. The Qorpak polypropylene bottles on Amazon might be a better choice, though I haven't tried them. I used to buy Qorpak lids with good results when I worked in a lab, but had to be careful when ordering that thread depth and pitch matched my bottles. Amazon also sells Dynalon LDPE bottles with flip tops though they're currently quite a bit more expensive that these; I suspect that they might be the best choice.

I bought these bottles to use for diesel fuel additive. They would be 5 stars, but they will leak if tipped, so they are basically useless for my purpose. If it is not a problem if they leak, they function well.
