Amazing detail and softness.

A little over a year ago, I had three Corgi's. Two were sisters and one our older male. In June 14, one of the sisters instantly got sick with issues we never new she had. She didn't make it. Last June, we lost our male, right after he turned 13. This left us with one girl, who is 8 and has never been alone. Although we have considered getting an older dog from the shelter, we haven't yet made a decision on that. Losing two of our three pets in a years time was hard, and we just aren't ready t add any more pets.

I started thinking of a way to help our lonely dog adjust to being alone, and a larger stuffed dog is the idea that I came up with. I was thinking that if I had a dog like this, it would be a fair companion for Sahara. Comfort her while we aren't home. This toy is close to the same size as my corgi, and that's what I was looking for. Plus, I wanted on that was laying down, not always standing or sitting. A technicality, I know, but I was really looking to lessen her stress. I take this dog to bed at night, carry it back out to the living room every morning with her, and take it out on the porch when she lays out there.

When the toy came, she ran up to it, and started playing with it. she kind of chewed on it's nose and foot and then sniffed around a while and went
off to lay down. later, she tried to play with it some. Since then, she's realized that it's not real, and can't play with her. Now, when I take t to the bedroom at night, she looks at it and does the same in the morning when I bring it back out here. I also move the toy around when I vacuum and clean, just like she does.

I don't know how much this will help over time, I'll have to wait and see. However, it's better than getting another dog or two.Read more ›

All I can say is that my niece loves it. My sister said it a good big size. I didn't read what it was and thought is was a wolf and so did my niece. So if your looking for a wolf its close enough. I see it now that it is a husky.

Although our daughter wanted a "real" husky this one with blue eyes, bright white and grey fur is filling the temporary void. Big enough for a 6 year old to use as a lounge pillow but she can still carry it around, everywhere.

I love this plushie! Super soft and huggable. I would say that my only complaint is that the tip of the tail is attached via a few stitches to the body; I remedied this by cutting a few strings which left a little line in her lower back. I like a free swinging tail, but that's really a matter of tastes and not quality. I definitely recommend this as a quality purchase for a larger sized plush.

This is a soft, tough looking husky. His fur is really soft and he has nice big paws. He looks exactly like a husky should, right down to the details. He's durable and well made as expected of an Aurora product. For 26 inches, he doesn't take up much space actually, which is good if you have a sizable amount of stuffed animals like me.
