I paid a lot of money for these LED lights and they were defective right out of the box. I didn't even get one day worth of use out of them. Because I had opened the box more than 30 days after receiving the item, the seller refuses to give me a refund or even a replacement.

I have purchased a lot of merchandise from Amazon over the years, and dealing with this particular supplier has been my only bad experience.

What a great, ethical company to deal with....NOT!!!!

Lights are working well, had shopped around and for this length the price was good. Wish we had gotten the clips but we attached with rope ties and that worked.

6/13/13 - These have been installed for months, but used only a few times. The last time they flickered and shorted out. Seller will not return email. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. Unreliable and will not stand behind product. Should work for years, not six times total!!

The lights themselves are quite nice and if you plan on using them as an entire strand they are a bargain. If you intend to attach power connectors and create shorter segments for indirect lighting etc, do not order this brand. The extra power connectors are very poorly made and the prongs do not have the same offset as the 2 power wires in the body of the rope assembly. It is virtually impossible to get them reliably placed. I have used rope lights for years and have never had this difficulty. These lights are half the price of the others I have used so if you don't need to create multiple rope sections they are a very good deal. If you do need have multiple sections they are worthless.

This arrived double boxed but the outer box was punctured on the empty end (outer box was a rectangle, inner was a smaller square), and there was a larger hole in the inner box in a different area than the outer box, like it was packaged and shipped that way. Made in China if that matters to you. It was a heavy box on one end. There was a tube of silicone in the inner heavier box that was completely smashed and oozed all over everything in the box. So I sent it back and got some other LED lights from Costco. I would not trust the shipping of this item, nor recommend, nor buy again. Hope this helps someone.

I ran these about 10 feet in the air attached to affixed rope. They gave off a sufficient amount of light for the festival my organization was hosting. The one thing to be aware of while affixing this rope to anything is: because of the way the LEDs are engineered, they have a front (light) and back (no light) side. Be sure to place the font side towards the area you want lit.

They use VERY little energy. I ran them using a small GoalZero solar battery station. The entire 150’ ran for 3 hours using this set-up.
I didn’t have to cut/re-attach any part of the rope, I used the entire piece at once, so I can’t attest to this process.

I only gave them four stars because of the LED front-side/back-side facing issue.

We put them on our pvc fence using picknic table cloth clips to hold it down to the top surface of the fence. It provides the right amount of light to the back yard around the fence. What I do not like is the rope light is starting to turn yellow in places from being out in the sun. We have only used the rope for a few months so we do not know how long it will last or perform over the long haul

We used the complete roll on our very large outdoor deck. There were no broken lights or wires in the 150 feet. I cannot comment on the connector aspect because we didn't use it. I am very happy with the colour - it is a true bright white - not warm white (yellow tint) and not cool white (blue tint). I wanted the area to be bright because we live in the country and the nights are BLACK and now I think we can be seen from space! Be sure to measure, because 150 feet is a lot of lights! We are happy with this purchase.
