I've tried any number of brushes to try to clean my aquarium filter tubing - none lasted very long and none really worked. My filters have ridged tubing and this brush went the whole way through, end to end and really dislodged all the gunk. My filters are pushing a lot more water through now and my tanks are sparkling. Very easy to use and appears to be sturdy. I just ordered 2 more - just in case!

Purchased this to clean a 30 gallon fish tank filter tube. It works great for the straight tubes. The heads are a little too long and rigid to easily bend around the tight corners. Also, the wire holding the heads is very long making it awkward to work with. Still, my filter tube is much cleaner (and easier to clean) than it was before I got this.

Use this to clean out the canister filter line for an Eheim aquarium filter. Works great for multiple sizes of tubing. Gets all the gunk out and bends to fit around corners. Definitely a must have if you own canister filters for your aquarium.

This brush does the job I bought it for, however the bristles do not go all the way around the brush, they kind of stick out of 2 sides, and they are fairly soft. They do bend to reach most of the tube, but I would still recommend making multiple passes while rotating the brush a bit. I might even consider using a drill to spin the brush, but be sure to spin it in the direction of the coil so you don't unwind the coil. That said, this is a very flexible brush, and managed to get around some tight curves. The only pary I had to disassemble was a sharp 90 degree turn. If the bristles were harder and went all the way around this would be a 5 *

This item cleans the pipes for my filter with no problem, the braided wire is pliable enough to work though the bends in the pipe and rigid enough to be pushed through without a problem. The two different size brushes are great, and I use the smaller brush to get into the areas of the filter itself to scrub away the gunk. The other cheaper brushes I have lost a ton of white bristles during this process. This is much better made. It was a very good purchase at this price and I recommend it. You may want to wipe it down when you get it, mine had schmutz on the wire portion and it was not easy to scrub off my fingers.

I have large canister filters with long, clear intake and outflow tubing that is impossible to clean without this pipe. It is longer than I am tall (I'm very short!) but when I coil it up it fits in the palm of my hand, minus the brushes. It is very flexible and easy to maneuver, and gets the gunk out of any aquarium tube. I think everyone should have one with long hoses that need a gentle brush from time to time.

Used the thin end of this to clean my CamelBak tube... it was difficult to push through the last several inches of the tubing but the spring remained stiff and straight through the end. Pulling it out didn't seem to ruin the spring either.
