I have used before a standard 3m model.
I have a narrow ear canal.
I figured this smaller model will have a better fit.

Revision.
After 1 week I went back to my old standard model.
The standard model is not much thicker but is much longer.
This extra length gives better grip for my fingers
during insertion process.
It doesnt bother me that a big piece will stay sticking out of my ear.

These do block sounds well and certainly fit me better and are much more comfortable than the regular sized classic earplugs. I am very sensitive to noise especially snoring, or noise in hallways or the street if I am traveling so they are an almost daily necessity.

Only negative comment is I am a 5'1" adult female and don't think my ears are exceptionally small but these do sometimes get pushed out during the night and I find them in the bed in the AM. But there is nothing smaller than blocks sounds nearly as well and I have tried many different types and brands

They are fairly stiff when you first use them which is good as it means they will block well. They last me for about a week per earplug and then I toss them as they get too soft to block noise and to fit well.

Have used the normal 3M earplugs since my days as a ship inspector 30 years ago. These were the only ones which really cut the noise and didn't hurt my ears. Now I wear them for sleeping. The box I ordered last time wasn't offered and these "small" ones had the best price.

I worried they'd be too difficult to handle because the normal ones are pretty darn small. Looked on the 3M website and the measurements on these are the same LENGTH as the normal ones, just not quite as big around. Decided to take a chance. Have used them for several weeks now. They work just fine. Haven't noticed any difference at all. Since I use them only for sleeping, they stay quite clean. I generally get about 5-7 days out of each pair (storing them in their little box during the day).

A totally effective product.

Check out the 3 M website for more information. If you search there for "Classic Uncorded Earplugs" you'll find a short video which shows the best way to insert the plugs to block the most noise. There's also a chart giving a short description of the differences between the various earplugs including this information:
"The diameter of the Classic Small Earplug is 7% smaller than the Classic Earplug (and the same length) ... The Classic Plus earplugs are 20% longer than the Classic Earplug (and the same diameter)..."

These are great for people with small ear canals. I actually use them while sleeping so I cut them in half to prevent them from sticking out of my ears. This way they stay in all night and don't get knocked out. They really block the noise and are easy to put in. You also get alot of them for the price. Well worth the money!

I have worn earplugs daily for 30 years. (Industrial Construction and motorcycling on weekends). I have worn a million different kinds of earplugs. These are the best by far. No other plugs come close to the all day comfort. Twist them between your fingers and slip them in. Done. I store them in the watch pocket of my jeans, they go through the wash and dry with the jeans. They will wash like this maybe 6 times before they get a little "spongy". Buy them, the ARE the best.

These disposable plugs are well known industry wide. What I did not know until I did some searching is that they are also available in a smaller size making it easier for a person with small ear canals to compress them enough to easily insert.
