My son recieved this as a birthday gift and he adores it. We did look at other options in-store and this car appeared to be the highest quality (we also have an ATV by Power Wheels and, in my opinion, this car is the same quality). It was fairly uncomplicated to assemble as well. My son especially loves the sirens and lights.
One thing worth mentioning- this car is huge! It is great outdoors but absolutely impossible to drive around indoors (and kind of a hassle to bring inside if you can't/don't want to leave it outdoors). The only annoying thing is that you need to take the seats out of the car to charge it. Otherwise we have no complaints.

I purchased this ride on toy for my twin boys who just turned two years old. The package arrived in great condition and after the cake and ice cream, I set to assembling this toy in my garage. I did read other reviews that cautioned that the assembly time could be as long as two hours, so I made sure the boys understood it might be a while... Fortunately, I was able to follow the easy to use instructions and had it together in under 30 minutes. As soon as I opened the box, I located the charger and battery, and set them to charging, that way we did have enough "juice" in the battery right out of the box for a couple laps around the yard. The plastic components are very heavy duty and I am sure they will last for the lifetime of the toy. I was also impressed with the rubber center tread sections on all 4 tires, which certainly help with traction on all surfaces. By far the most impressive component of this car, is the fact that the on-board electronics (i.e. the flashing lights and siren etc.) are powered directly by the same 12 v battery that allows the car to drive. This is a major improvement over other ride on toys I have seen that require auxiliary "AA" batteries to power on board electronics. So far, this car is the best ride on electric toy that I've come across!

One year warranty means nothing. I needed a new battery and charger 3 months in and the ONLY place to get them is from kidtrax, best of luck with that. You cannot walk into a big box and buy a charger or battery like you can with powerwheels or peg perego. I tried to even buy the parts from kidtrax without filing warranty claim, to no avail. I finally had to cut and solder wires to a battery and charger from batteries plus to get it going. Cool looking fun car, just pray you never need a part. My son loves the car even though he had to go without it for 5 months while we tried to find parts. From now on I will stick to the more reputable manufacturers.

My kid wants to be riding this all day, and I don't blame him. It is a super quality item which should give years of happiness, It takes probably 25 minutes to accemble and the directions which were provided were of excellent assistance to me, the box is heavy when delivered, so make sure you work out days before it arrives to avoid any risk of hurting you back. Everything works just like a true squad car. Does not include a dash camera.
