This cable extends the length of my stereo headphone that uses a rather standard 3.55 mm plug. The cable works fine; the headphone cable snaps into the female socket on this cable rather tightly, but it works as expected.

To me it wasn't clear in the picture that the plastic plug ends are much larger that you typically find with headphones. I bought this to fit in a waterproof case; in order to pass into the case, the plug can't be much larger that what you find with a pair of iphone headphones. If that's not a issue for you, this is a good buy.

I got this cord so I wouldn't have to reach so far to plug my headphones into my tower at work - its pretty short even for that distance but it serves the purpose of extending the port to a reachable height - what is crap about it is that it doesn't accurately stream sound. Sometime it only plays background audio, other times only voice audio etc. It works, with some fiddling, but I'd recommend a different product.

This product's male end was bent when i received it and for sound to come in clear i have to spin my headphone male end around inside the extender's female end to get it to connect. I have tried it with other headphones (bose and a meleelectornic sport headphone) and my headphones don't have any issue plugged into the computer or anything else i plug it into.
