I am someone who has previously viewed knitting needles as merely functional. I have never seen them as a thing of beauty until I opened my package and saw these needles. It was totally unexpected. They are just gorgeous. The manufacturer also took the time to put the size of the needles on them so no longer do you have to guess and try to use one of those needle gauge tools that still always leave me unsure. I don't see this very often with circular needles. This is a quality product for an excellent price. From now on I will be checking Knitter's Pride first when I need new needles and I am recommending them to my knitting friends.

Update: Right in the middle of knitting they broke. :( I really loved these needles but now I'm seeing other reviews that they break easily. Going from five stars to one because pretty as they are - I didn't get through one project.

I have been using my Knitter's Pride 40 inch circular needles for a while now and they are very nice. They have a nice flexible cord and smooth joins between the needles and cord. They have a nice point and feel comfortable and smooth. I may have to get a full set of these circular needles someday. Now I have several Clover bamboo and Addi Turbo circulars, I am shopping around for a nice set that doesn't cost nearly $180 like the Addi Turbo sets.

Love the flexibility of the cord, although sometimes it seems like it's popping up in the way of my hands. I'm not sure why that happens. The needles are smooth, slick, and sharp. I mostly knit with cotton and cotton blends, and these needles have kept my hands from hurting and have made decreases in particular so much easier.

I like the way each size is a different color, and I like the colors...very pleasant to look at while knitting. The price of these needles is excellent, and they make a good alternative to some of the pricier brands.

In summary, these needles are practically perfect, other than the cords being a bit unwieldy.

I knit a lot on circulars, even straight pieces, so I am very familiar with various brands. Knitters Pride are at the top in quality. The joins are smooth and the needles fly thru the yarn. The cables lay flat and don't curl up when you are trying to join your work, which I cannot say about some brands.

The price is very competitive. I have used different brands of circulars and some I would never recommend. I comfortably recommend KP.

Normally Knitter's Pride is a favorite of mine. I LOVE the Dreamz straight needles that I had high hopes for these needles as well. They do knit perfectly, only the cord came out of the needle base about halfway into my project. Luckily a dab of superglue set it right, but it could have been disastrous for my project. I'm hoping this was a fluke in the design and not something that happens to all of their circular needles.

These circular knitting needles are a dream. I started my project with the standard brand from my local craft store. That brand shifts from metal needles to plastic in this size. I found that plastic to be too sticky and hard to control tension with. And then a few rows into my piece the cable pulled out of one of the needles. I attempted to glue them back together but this didn't work. So I returned that needle and got the bamboo version. They weren't stocked in the store at the length I needed so I ordered this needle at the same time. These two are the difference between "good" and "great". Some specifics: The cable is more flexible while still being durable. The connection to the needle is visibly rock-solid. The needles taper to an impressively sharp point making picking up multi-stranded, frizzy, yarn much easier. The points are wood, but they are varnished which allows the work to travel much more easily over the needle. I would expect this needle to cost ~$20 in a retail store and I would happily pay that.

These are beautiful needles. I prefer them because the polished wood slips easily into the stitch and the cable is supple without requiring heat to relax the curl. I've been replacing my other circular needles with these as I need a different size. Also have been using circulars for everything and no longer need any straights, not even double-points, as the "magic loop" system works beautifully once you know how to do it.

Generally I'm very happy with the Knitter's Pride needles. However, when I got this set and started a swatch, the cables immediately started to feel loose in the needle attachment. With a little gentle pressure, the cable pulled out completely. I have submitted it for a return.
I've worked with the same brand in size 7 and used their DPNs and am generally pleased with the quality, but this set was terrible and useless (on a project that was time sensitive, too).
