Living in the west trains your palate to become addicted to Mexican food with cumin being an integral part of the cuisine. I was looking through luck Amazon for cumin in bulk and when I saw the amount of product for a cost of $12.00, I rushed to order it quickly. I am sure that the price was a mistake but endorphin high from such a purchase was too much to ignore. Talk about a quick rush! The only thing missing a guy selling it out the back of his car trunk along with bootleg Cd's. McCormick's is a great spice company and the cost could not be beat. Further research in my collection of cookbooks found that this spice is used in Eastern cooking as well. I will not be running out of cumin for years.

Cumin is one of the most used spices in my household. I use it to make taco season and use it in recipes that contain black beans. I was thrilled to find it in the 14 ounce size on Amazon. This cumin has great flavor and as with most McCormick spices is also gluten free.

We use cumin in a lot of recipes. I was tired of buying the little containers at the store. This was the "bulked up" cumin that I needed, and the price was spectacular. You are paying about a third of the price per ounce that you do in most grocery stores for a product that is very good.

In the last few months my spice shopping has moved to Amazon because of price. And BTW, the word at our house for the price of spice is the "sprice." As in, what is the sprice?
