Works about half the time.

Verified Purchase

The built-in flash on the camera will provide sufficient light up to about 8 feet.
I wanted this illuminate the areas further away.
However. If the slave flash is positioned more than 10 or 12 feet from the camera and turned away from the camera it will not be triggered by the flash from the camera. So, it is just okay. I would have been better off buying a dedicated flash for the camera...of course that was five times the price.

I bought this also to go with the digital camera I purchased..

I received this in the mail, as I bought it to go with my wife's new digital camera and took it out of the package put the batteries in and the flash made a noise and then "popped" and is now worthless.. Very unhappy with this purchase..
