I bought this with the Motorola Razr Maxx HD 2 days ago ....LOVE THE PHONE!!!!! This device is worthless.... The only PRO is that indeed it does hold the phone...Now for the CONS: The "Smart Charger" is just an unattached charger cord..It is not a docking unit as the Motorola promo for this implies.The Flip Stand just holds the phone, that's all it does...... The screen vibrates when I touch the phone when it is on this stand. ( yes I have it on a flat surface). Swiping the screen makes the phone very shakey. I have the unit at my desk, and it is too tall for me..it interferes with other functions I am doing.
I expected this to be like the docking station that my Motorola Droid X had...Now that stand I loved !!!!
So I think I am going to wait on any more accessories untill the phone has been out a month or so.....Till then......DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS DEVICE...I'M SERIOUS !!!!!

Motorola has a great idea here- creating a 'universal' dock so you don't need a new one each time you get a new phone. But the people responsible for this implementation should all be put on probation (i'd say fired but wouldnt wish anyone to lose their job in this economy).

this thing stinks. The cable that comes with it is great- puts recent moto phones in 'dock mode'. But this "stand" is garbage. There's no cable management so every time you unplug your device the cord falls on the floor and you have to bend down to pick it up next time you want to use it.

It's unstable- apparently the entire engineering staff over at moto failed physics. Either your phone falls out of it or you knock it over or everything falls on the floor when you go to hit "snooze" on the alarm each morning.

I love the recent moto phones but this "stand" is crap.

I picked this up to use it on my desk at my office, Just to hold my phone and charge it when I'm working.

it provides a nice stand with a good angle that makes it easy to use. the cord that it comes with turns on the dock features on my Razr MAXX HD which is neat. it also charges the phone quickly. There is a note on the cord that says not to plug it into a PC, I'm not sure why. but I didn't feel compelled to try it either.

I have had several people ask me where I got and that they really liked the way it looks, and since I picked it up, they have been popping up around the office.

This is a great stand. I am using this with my LG V10, which is a big phone. It holds the phone pretty well in either orientation and I can use the touchscreen while on the stand. I purchased the stand and the charger because I wanted the 90 degree cable for use with this stand. That is a mixed bag. The cable works fine, but NOT with any of my quick/fast charger plugs. It will work with any brand wall plug as long as it is not a fast charger. So, no biggie, but I guess it has to do with the cable really being intended for Motorola phones.
My wife's Motorola Droid Turbo-2 works great and goes into docking mode when this cable is plugged into her phone.
The feet have substantial rubber bases and so does the angled dock stand where the bottom of the phone rests. Overall, this base, to me, feels like a very nice quality, especially for the price of around ten bucks.
Having to manually plug in the power is OK by me as I knew this when I purchased it.

Well, its a good thing I didn't pay $20 for this thing as its functionality is about as useful as aa Happy Meal Toy.

I had high expectations for a product made by Motorola. I actually bought this assuming that it would be a little more reliable than the Ikea Nordmärke I bought a few months ago. Boy was I wrong!

It's just a plastic stand. No Qi wireless charging. No NFC sensor to activate an alarm clock mode. Just a stand. You would think for what they charged for this product a few years ago, it was some innovative product or a must have accessory.

What this really is is a stand. I could have gone to a Michael's and picked on of this up for the reduced price I paid for this thing.

The saddest part is that this is a Motorola product. If expect this kind of product to be sold to a iPhone user who's foolish enough to stand in line on Black Friday for it but never take such an interest in picking political leaders.

I'm disappointed.

The cord that comes with this is not USB 2.0 comparable. The stand is great but I can't charge my phone sitting up with a cord that works for my phone because it's straight and sticks through the bottom. The cord that comes with it is bent. Great idea in theory just not turbo comparable.

This is an ok stand, but for the price, I am definitely unimpressed. Although I understand why Motorola is moving away from phone-specific docks, I am still disappointed with their choice. This stand, while well made, is very overpriced for what it is. The stand is just that; a simple plain plastic stand. It comes with a micro-USB smart charger which is actually pretty cool if you have a Moto phone, but if they offered that separately, I would never bother purchasing this stand. It's not all that great looking. When using it using it as a bedside stand as I do, it stands a little higher and is angled a little more upward than I'd like. There is no place to hold the cable, so when your phone is unplugged, you have to lay it somewhere beside the stand. Nothing about this set up is sleek or streamlined. I miss my old proprietary dock that I used with my Droid Bionic. Having to find the cable, plug it in, then balance the phone on this stand seems like one step too many to do when you think about the price you're paying for it. I would love to be able to buy this smart cable separately at a cheaper price; I have better universal stands that I can use. As is, I'm not sure if I'd recommend this. The cable is pretty cool and I like how the charging tip is at a 90 degree angle, but is it worth the price and this extra cumbersome stand? I'm not sure.
