Worked great in my 2006 GTI 2.0t. Fits just like a factory part but costs much less. You just need to shave a tiny bit of plastic off the connector with a box cutter or something but that's not a problem

Bolted right in to original spot, can not tell the difference from this item and original VW Fan. (fit on 2006 VW Jetta w/2.5 engine, looks the same for a 2007 MK5 GTI also) Fan replaces the small engine cooling fan (right side). install was easy, got the maintenance book (well worth the 20-30 dollars) and in less than 2 hrs job was done. basic tools will do (basic ratchet set, with an additional star screwdriver set (for VW / euro cars) or small stubby screwdrivers with a lot of hand torque! Saved over $400 as a DIY.

The passenger side fan (smaller of the two auxiliary fans) on my 2007 VW Jetta 2.5L had been dead for a few months now, causing a very loud fan noise outside my car whenever I ran the car's air conditioning. This was the most reasonably priced fan option I could find, and I'm very happy with the results after replacing my fan.

I only ran into one incredibly small problem when installing this into my car. The plug that came on this fan had a small plastic nub on one side of it which made it difficult to plug in, and when plugged in, didn't allow for the retaining clip on the plug to snap into place. I simply cut the tiny nub off with a knife, and the plug fit perfectly and snapped into place securely.

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone experiencing issues with there passenger side auxiliary fans on most mkv platfrom vw cars.

Amazing. The passenger side cooling fan on my 2006 vw jetta went out a few weeks ago and I was quoted around $800 from vw to fix the entire assembly. I bought this instead and my boyfriend put it in in about an hour no problem and it works great. CEL is off and the ac works again. I'm so happy I tried here first!
