The actual cross bars appear to be "chrome" in this picture, however is more of brushed aluminum.
The parts that are chrome are the two rails and the two clamps that hold the glass shelves.

Looks great and no signs of rust or tarnish after 3-months.

I really like this shelf, it looks great after installed, but be aware the chrome clamps that hold the glass in place were not machined very well. The threaded holes that the plastic socket set screws that anchor the glass shelves have to be rethreaded either with a tap or 5/16×24 bolt because the set screws will not thread in far enoigh to hold the shelf secure. I bought two of these shelves and I had to rework the holes on both of them. I was able to make one of the shelfs work with the plastic set screws, but the second shelf I had to replace all eight of the plastic set screws with iron screws because the plastic screws would break off so then I had to make rubber washers to go between the set screws and the glass to keep it from breaking.You would think that for the price they would do a better job of
making these parts fit right. So if you dont mind a little rework it is not too bad.

I ordered this for my bathroom, thinking it looks like on the picture and I will be able to use the two "frames" that connect the top & the bottom parts, to put double sided 3M strips so that I won't have to drill holes into the wall (as I am renting an apartment)... if the product looked like on the image, that would have worked beautifully because there is plenty of surface to put plenty of strips to "glue" it to the wall...
Unfortunately the two frames did not come in the package.
Also, 4 screws were missing too, so now I have to go to Home Depot to buy them... other than that, the product seems nicely made, but come on -> it is not like on the picture, and 4 out of 8 screws are missing?!

Love the product only complaint is I have hit the metal bars with my arm a couple times and it has broken the glass. I purchased a second one so i have replacement parts as I do like the product and obviously its my fault for hitting the bar. I might just replace the glass and leave the bars off so hopefully this doesn't happen again
