I have four of these in use and will be ordering two more today. Yes; they work great. However my systems are within 30 feet of the modem, so I don't know how the performance is when the distance is greater than that.

But. I'm not a techie, but the reported raw speed I was getting was not as high as my previous wireless adapter. However, I'm not sure I could experience or see any real difference in viewing web sites. I've subsequently direct wired from router to pc and that difference is a noticeable improvement. This adapter is also larger than my previous one (USB ports can be pretty tightly spaced). It works, does what it says, plug and play (Win7 anyway) and previous other Rosewill products have been reliable. Was able to call and speak with Rosewill customer service within 5 minutes-that makes it worth something right there. Price vs performance? Probably hard to beat this adapter.

Awesome little adapter! I just plugged into a spare USB 2.0 slot on an old Intel 865 motherboard running Ubuntu and this device appeared, initialized automatically, and I was up and running connected N speeds in seconds. As far as performance is great. This is really is "The Little Wi-Fi Adapter That Could."

There's a lot of similar adapters out there, many more expensive and with lower specs. I would never try another after using this one.

These work well. I used these on my friends' old computers that have outdated wifi cards, and they work well for that. I have also used this and can vouch that it works well for Raspberry Pis. The are dependable, durable, and relatively inexpensive for general use. Rosewill also keeps the driver for it on their website if you need it.

This cheap brand is complete junk. it could not get signal 15 feet from the router.
there are much better alternatives available for the same price such as airlink, linksys and even netgear.

It's good for web browsing, but that's about it. Sometimes it goes out for about 20 seconds, and at other times it's just barely working. You can get a high quality 75 foot cat6 cable for cheaper and get much better performance.

This does not work with Ubuntu 12.04. There are downloadable drivers for kernel 2.6.x but not for more recent kernels. The search for something that will get Ubuntu 12.04 online continues...

Update: This worked instantly and without difficulty as soon as I plugged it in on Ubuntu 14.04, no software installation needed. Apparently it's Ubuntu 12.04's handling of the hardware that is faulty rather than this device.
