These are the best sub-$50 buds with mic I have tried and are an easy recommendation. The frequency response I would place on the neutral, accurate, high clarity scale, with very good bass going quite deeply but having a definite bass boost that is bad or good depending on how you want to use them. (See below.) The high end is clear without being strident. The midrange is fairly balanced. I would not say these are high end audiophile buds, they lack the pure smoothness and musicality of the better ones for sure, however for everyday working phones with mic, hard to beat, and much better than the stock dreadful Samsung buds or the cheap $7 Panasonics so many people rave about (have two pair of those). No bad marks. The cords are extremely quiet with about the least 'microphonics' noise I have encountered. Volume is very good, my phone drives these plenty loud. The mic sounds good on phone calls and video recordings.

The noise isolation is decent but not great, assuming you can a decent seal with the 3 different sized rubber covers. I was able to get a good comfy seal with the larger set. Sealing with this type of single wall flexy rubber is never going to get you great ear-plug type noise isolation, but aftermarket expanding foam or custom molded silicone tip covers can do better. Also note that an airtight seal is not the same as a guarantee of good noise isolation. The best noise isolation in my experience comes from the three-flange silicone rubber tips you can get on Etymotic buds. But they are not very comfortable. Next would be expanding foam. Next is custom fitted ear molds. Finally, these typical single wall silicon flange things.

Also note that bass response on ANY earbud goes way up when you have an airtight seal in your ears.Read more ›

I love these things. They are the best fitting ear buds I've used. I have a pair of Sennheiser headphone-only buds, but I needed something with a microphone for my cell. These fit identically to the headphone-only version, and work just fine with my S3 phone.

I'm not sure I'd go jogging in the park with them, mainly because I can't jog. But the cords do seem like they'd have problems if they get snagged. But good think I can't jog, so these are *perfect*.

Can't say how happy I am with these headphones. I know a lot of people on here where complaining about the thin cord. Yes it get's tangly sometimes. I just untangle it and move on. The sound quality is exceptional. I wear these when I work out and they stay in place. The cord rarely jerks out unless I drop the phone. Overall, could not be happier with these. Perfect for my use!

I'm no acoustic expert other than to go by what my own ears like and these possibly deliver the best sound I've ever heard out of many many earbuds, headsets and padded earphones in my lifetime so far--other than Bose quality, which I have yet to find any to outdo. I have a pair of Beats over ear padded phones and like these better. Great quality especially for the price. I've had these for a year now and they have held up just fine.

The sound of the Sennheiser CX 275 S is much better than the Klipsch Reference S4 Premium In-Ear Noise-isolating Headphones the Sennheiser's are replacing. The highs are cleaner and the lows are more defined. They fit better than the Klipsch and everyone I've asked says they can hear me well through the microphone. Even though they fit better than the Klipsch, the only reason I don't give them a 5 start rating is because after a couple of hours of wearing them they start to feel a little uncomfortable, so I have to start moving them within my ears, maybe this is an inherent problem with in-ear headphones, but I guess all in ear headphones suffer somewhat of the same problem.

I've been using these headphones daily for around 9 months so far, and they're still holding up! To they day, they are providing the same high-quality audio since the day I bought them!

My only complaint is that the button hasn't quite held up to the times, and half of the button is collapsed into the housing. Despite this, though, it still works!

I don't have much to say about the microphone since I never really used it.

I ordered these to travel with and to replace Altec Lansing ones I have been using for the last 5 years. Sennheiser ones felt apart after about 1 hour of use. Cords are way too thin, jack is very weak.

Definitely not for travel. One careless move - and these are gone.

UPDATE: Good news is that Sennheiser did replace my set with a new one. I agree with most reviews, that the sound on this set is pretty good, but it's not suited well for travel (what I expected from noise-blocking headphones)

Great headphones! The bass was strong, but not too overbearing. They are very loud, which is fine, just don't have the volume already cranked to the max when you turn on your device.

Very comfortable and well fitting buds. I am the type of person that earbuds always keep slipping out, these stayed on quite well.

The mic worked fine with my smartphone, no one complainted about not hearing me.

I love them, so why the 4 star instead of 5! The wired ripped straight out of the audio jack. But it is partly my fault, I was playing with my boxer.

In conclusion, I love this earbuds, just wish they had thicker/stronger wiring, so they would last longer. But honestly, soon as I see them discounted again, think I'll buy and keep rough housing with the doggy for when they are not been used.
