These threaded Rivets ROCK. I've never seen them before and had to have some for my latest project. I tested a few on a length of tube steel and put washers around them so that I could ratchet the bolt down and try to pull them out.. They are solid and don't let go! I'm impressed !! I do a lot of steel work, and these will come in handy!

Overall, I am impressed with the strength, appearance, and ease of installation. Jay-Cee Sales got these delivered in short order and have also been a great resource for inquiries into other fasteners types in their line up.

That said, the tools for installation are at two extremes: physical or financial. If you're doing one or two, the hand tool does a great job of seating this. But the hand tool is absolutely out of the question for any level of production, and the powered tools break the bank.

Rivnuts are an asset you really need when you need them. I try to keep a fair selection on hand. You need a setting tool that seats them tight or they are a problem. Do not tighten the bolt in them with an impact wrench or they may start to slip. Someone did that on a snowmobile I was working on, and it took me forever to get that bolt out. Steel nuts work much better than aluminum. These are fine.
