Got these and the sound quality was awful. I returned them for replacement and the replacement was equally defective. When I asked for a refund I was told that my 30 days had expired. The problem is, I never had either set of headphone anywhere close to 30 days. Now I'm being punished because I gave the seller a chance to make things right by giving me a product that actually works. Stay away.

The only really thing I can say about these headsets is they work. They hiss and pop if you push volume up at all. They have NO real bass to speak of. It was like someone equalized the speakers to blow out the treble only. They are only good for voice calls. That is only if you are in a quiet environment. I bought a set of HTC OEMs headphones with this set. Although they were not noise isolating, The HTC set was within a few cents on the price, and has double the quality on EVERY aspect. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone who isn't using them for voicecalls ONLY.

Edit: outside of a quiet room, these are useless. I ended up throwing them away.

Tried various adaptors to use my older 2.5mm/2-ring headsets on a Samsung Brightside. A couple worked, but the audio and mechanical quality was iffy. For example, the last adaptor I tried 3.5mm (Male) To 2.5mm (Female) Stereo Audio Jack Adapter was OK but then started to act like it had a short in it. This headset works well, with no adaptor needed. Audio quality is acceptable (I don't listen to music using the phone), the earpieces are relatively comfortable and the mic works well. The wires seem a bit thin (not as thin as some), but overall quality seems good, and they don't look cheap with the glossy finish and chrome. Length of the wire is good at 3 feet (from the plug to the point where it splits for the right/left earbuds). Only criticism so far is that they're very sensitive to the phone (earpiece) volume setting; even with the volume at only a couple of bars, they can sound loud.

Update: Just got the iPhone 5c; they work on it and sound really good.

I'm not sure if it is a problem with this particular head set, but the head phone set is of very bad quality. When I connect it to my PC or mobile and try listening to songs, I could hear the music clearly but the lyrics are not audible at all. To listen to the lyrics, I have to increase the volume and in that case the music is tooo loud and is hurting my ears. Just to confirm it was not the case of 1 particular song, I tried with 10 different songs but it is the same for all the songs. I would definitely advise caution to anyone who is trying to but this item.

Reviews for these headset are all over the place and that seems to be because some buyers got the original product, others got knock-offs. Knock-offs are very hard to differentiate from the originals as they are very very well made to look alike but here are the differences I noticed:

1. Main wire from the connector to the split, is thicker on the original headphones vs. the knockoffs (2.56 mm vs 2.12 mm)
2. Microphone pinhole diameter (the little hole on the other side of the on/off button) is around 1 mm on the originals and 2 mm on the knock-offs
3. Microphone piece is always on the right channel on the originals and on the left channel on the knock-offs (at least on the knock-offs I got)

If you happen to get the originals, they have top notch sound: bass is really impressive, mids and highs are really good, overall sound is very well balanced, so much so, that playing with the equalizer on my Nexus 4 did not improve the sound at all, if anything, it made it worse. Microphone is excellent, provided you manage to keep the pinhole up, not on your clothes and that takes some getting used to.
Now, if you get the knock-off headset, then you'll hate it right away. There is no bass whatsoever, mids are pretty muted and highs are pretty much the only thing you hear. without lows and mids, the volume seems to be 50% lower than the original product. The microphone is terrible as well: everybody I talked to complained that I sound muffled, they could barely understand me.

I've always been "lucky" and got the original Samsung headset when I purchased from sellers that show "Fulfilled by Amazon". Buying directly from various sellers was a hit and miss: I sometimes got the original headset, other times I got knock-offs.Read more ›

What can I say it is hard to find good headphones. The good - fits in ear nicely and blocks out sound. Sound quality lows good highs good. They are stereo so you have a left and right. only issues is they have a left and right and you have to look for the letter not a color or other marking. It only matters which ear you put them in a little. But this is my best pair every time I go out I use them. They were not expensive so I am not afraid of breaking them or losing them like I was with my Bose. Bose was a waste of money. They did not stand up to a lot of wear. This is a better way to go. They can take being pulled out accidentally.

Delivery was on time, the packaging was ok. It came on a rainy day and sat on my door step until I came from work, don't know why they did that but the inside wasn't wet. It works but for some strange reason every time I'm using it and it's in my ear, if the cord touches my skin I get a little shock. I believe it's static shock but I think it may have something to do with the way it was sitting in the rain. Very strange, not certain because when I opened the package it was dry, maybe it dried up and dried in causing the shocks. I still have it almost 3 years after purchase, it still works but I use it as back up if my other head phone ever stops working.
