Use this for bacon on the square griddle. The press Is a little bit smaller than the bacon is long and I thought that it had a wooden handle. All and all, it does the job. Just be careful, the bacon cooks a lot faster and don't need the pan so hot. Bacon comes out crispier too

This flat iron grill press fits perfectly in the square pan. This combo is great for bacon and works well for other meats too. Also great for grilled sandwiches. You can preheat the Press on a burner at low heat, and then set it atop your food in the pan. Or just use it as a press and flip your food so the grilling only comes from the pan (not the press). What I like the most about this press is that there are no screws or rivets to hold the handle on. It's all one solid piece of cast iron. The bottom is one continuous flat piece. I love Lodge cast iron, and am very happy to add this to my collection. Highly recommend.

I bought this for tortillas. I have tried many machines and methods for tortillas but I always go back to the good old fashion rolling pin, however, mine always turn out Gorditas and my family likes them thin so my next step would be a pasta machine which produces twice as many tortillas from the same dough. Even though I roll them, this press helps take up less time during the cooking process and helps to make them a uniform, perfect thickness.

Heavy cast iron press fits 10" Lodge square cooker perfectly or use on griddle for superb heat transfer. Typical Lodge high quality, will easily last a lifetime. Buy 100% cast iron as the wood handles can't be preheated in an oven. Lodge preseasons all their cast iron but I recommend seasoning it further before using. Just coat with a high smoking point oil or fat and heat in an oven for a couple of hours @ 375 F.

It's Lodge so what can I say? Preseasoned and just keeps getting better as you use it. Bought this to cook bacon with the square pan. Keeps the bacon flat. Make sure you dump the grease between pans.

Got to try it this past weekend and it works beautifully on bacon. Always wanted one of these and am so glad I went ahead and bought one. Preseasoning was great. Stuck a little but I should have heated it up a little more before using it.

Heavy cast iron flat press. Easily flattens 4-6 strips of bacon. You can get bacon very crisp if you like it that way (I don't). Don't leave it flat down it a pan as it will rust. Read more
