The beads are small and easy to dissolve. The kids came a little loose but there was an additional sealed lid to prevent spillage. The containers used for the lye are much larger than the amount of product provided. Great for soap making!

I bought this 3 pack of red crown lye to make cold press soap. I read the reviews and I saw that other people used this lye to make there soaps. I found that this did not work for me at all. My soaps take forever to set and after 3 days they still are very soft. I have 2 and a half bottles left I will not be using now. Not sure what else to do with it at this point.

Works well and it is a great price! Shipped fast. My only concern was the fact that the lids were loose. I ordered 4 bottles. They came in 2 boxes. Three bottles had loose lids and one of the lids had completely come off in transit. Had the foil seal broke for any reason, lye would have been in the box which concerned me a bit. Otherwise I'm pleased with this purchase.

I pay more for this brand because it has a named chemical manufacturer who brands and tests it for high purity.

When it comes to soap for the kids, I was not tempted to get the lower priced stuff that only claims 96% purity. What are the other guys stuffing in that other 4%?

Red Crown for us. Lye is a small part of the price, so better is better without being too much. Or something.

Be safe with this stuff. Not for kids, idiots or anyone who needs safe spaces. Forgive the triple redundancy, but people these days need everything spelled out.
