We have a smaller cat who doesn't eat all that much each day. As a result, the typical cat bowls are just too big. The picture doesn't show it very well, but the bowls have a high side and a low side. The low side makes it easier for the cat to reach into the bowl while the high side helps to reduce the amount of food that ends up on the floor. I just wish there was either a three bowl or one bowl version of this as we use three bowls, one for morning wet food, one for all day dry food and one for water.

Don't normally write reviews but this product exceeded my expectations. Bottom is made of thick plastic with rubber on the base to stop slippage. There is a small rubber tip inside the bowl holder that grips the glass bowls. The bowls are fairly heavy duty. At least more than I was expecting for the price. Not sure they would survive being dropped on my tile floor but then again, what does besides Pyrex? Bowls have a perfectly rounded bottom (the "stem" is solid, not hollow) which is exactly what I wanted. My cat strangely refuses to eat wet food that gets pushed into the edges of a flat bottomed bowl so this will help with less food waste. One bowl arrived with a scuff on the outside that would not come off. Looks like it might have been stored for a long time. But it was minor, will not effect feeding, and is barely noticeable. Overall, I thought this product was an elegant and sleek solution without being fussy looking. (which I so welcome in pet products!) Love it! And will be looking for more products from Cat It Design.

These bowls were worth every penny! Not only is it a beautiful sight and feel to have actual glass but it is the easiest to clean. Only thing I would say is that my kitty doesn't seem to want it for water, she prefers going straight to the sink. Still working on that. I love the tilt that the bowl has, I feel as though that helps my kitty not strain her neck so much when eating. The base is incredible sturdy, it wont move unless actual force is made by a human (for the cat, does not move on bit!!) so I can assure she is eating her food not chasing it. Get it! You will not be disapointed.

I have a small rabbit who loves to topple all of his food dishes over to remind me that he demands more. And his water feeder is difficult to clean especially since I change his water constantly. I saw this after going through many results of pet food bowls, and I knew this would be the best option for my feisty little bunny. The bowls are not only too heavy for him to topple, but it has grips on the bottom that holds it down to the plastic base. Each bowl is slightly angled, which is perfect for containing water, making it easily accessible to my small bun. I also noticed that he drinks more water from the bowl than from his water feeder for some reason. It's so much easier to clean, and it's mess free! The elegant and simple design is a huge plus.

These look very nice in person. The base is high-gloss piano-black plastic, with a rubber base to prevent skidding across the floor. The bowls are made from a nice heavy glass. We've dropped the bowls from about a foot, and they just bounce - they're pretty tough. The bowls have a molded-in stem that inserts into the base to hold them very securely. They just lift off when you need to put them in the dishwasher. We've even washed the base in the dishwasher. I would like another set of the bowls so that we could have one clean set to swap in when we need to wash the other set. As it stands, we have to time the wash cycle so that we don't interrupt meal time.

I love this company for cat gear! The item is reasonable priced. It has a ring of rubber around the bottom to keep it from moving. The glass bowls are easily removed, but stay in place when in holder. I think plastic and metal bowls are less healthy for the pet and harder to clean. The product seems quite durable and bowls are dishwasher safe. I only wish they sold replacement bowls here on amazon, so you could swap out them when they are in the dishwasher.

Ok, so my dog's small, 15lbs, and he hates eating out of dog bowls, he prefers people plates and bowls. This was the only item I found that was an on top feeder bowl. He doesn't eat or drink much when I'm at work, so even if it was a tad small, I figure it'd work. It is small, but for my dog's eating habits, it does work. Mine came with a chip in one bowl, which I wasn't happy about, but I kept it anyway. I covered the cat it logo that's on the base with a sticker. He finally eats his food out of these bowls, which was my mission. Since he's small, I need to control his bladder, so filling up water doesn't bother me. I fill the water maybe three times to the rim for him. The base is a cheap plastic and the bowls are nice and sturdy and don't wiggle in the holes. It looks nice in my kitchen. One star gone due to the chip in bowl. This would work for tiny dogs if they can reach the bowls and don't require more than a cup of anything. Figured I'd be the first dog review here...or second...
