I have several nice fountain pens and purchased the Pilot Petit so that I can always have one with me. It is very small, yet is comfortable enough to write with when you have the cap posted. I was surprised to find a quality pen at this price. It is reliable and puts down a consistent fine line. It writes right away every time. The cartridges are specific to the pen, but can be refilled with a syringe if you prefer to use your own ink.

I am pleased with this. I have been curious about getting a pocket fountain pen. This fits the bill nicely. The green is pretty light. Will use mainly for underlining text. Nice option given that I don't want to buy a bottle of green. My plan is to then convert it into an eyedropper pen holding blue ink. I had planned to use a syringe to inject blue ink into the disposable cartridge that comes with it (after washing). That method has worked well for me in the past with other pens, including a pilot preppy. I saw on the internet that you can remove the cartridge and fill the entire pen with ink so long as you coat the threads with plumbers silicone goo to prevent leakage. Not sure I have the courage to try that! The pen writes well. Fairly smooth. I think it is writing a bit dryer than my Pilot preppy, but that might be the ink. Will have to see how it works with a refill of noodler's. Cannot complain for the price, though. I have found that it has a nice feel in the hand, but only when posted. Too short to be comfortable with the cap off. That is unfortunate when you just want to jot down a few words and a full-size pen would work fine for that without having to uncap, post, unpost, and recap.

NIB...
...These nibs are marked "F" for fine, and lay a line comparable to a 0.7 Pilot G2 gel pen (but noticeably thinner than a "M" Pilot Varsity nib).
...They nibs are springy and draw very smoothly (unlike Platinum Preppy fountain pens, which are not nearly as flexible or smooth).

SIZE...
...The caps post nicely with a solid snap, and give the pen much needed length when posted.
...The girth is significant, but tapers nicely--and fits well in the hand (though with zero heft--as they are incredibly light weight).

CAP CLIPS...
..The cap clips are plastic, and don't have issues with breaking or bending (which is a frequent problem with some of my other pens).

INK SUPPLY...
...The refillable cartridges hold plenty of ink, & the pens can hold even more (3x more) if used as an eyedropper pen!

Eyedropper Conversion...
...The eyedropper conversion is very easy, and is best achieved without a rubber o'ring (unlike platinum preppy pens).
Simply dry the threads & apply a little silicon grease to the threads on the nib side of the pen (not the threads in the ink well).

INK...
...The inks are rather wet (and can bleed through cheap paper) but dry nicely & don't feather.
(I have tried all the colors except pink).

OVERALL...
...There is not much to dislike about these pens.
...They deliver a premium writing experience without being expensive--or disposable!
...These are the most versatile pens I own.

A great portable and cheap fountain pen! Whether you're an EDC'er or someone who wants the flowing ink of a fountain pen, this will not (especially at its price) disappoint. Refills are somewhat cheap, but you will most likely need to purchase ink cartridges online. When uncapped on end, can be an ok-writing experience, but not quite the pen I personally would like to write with.

It can bleed more than most, and anyone who uses it will need to get some fountain pen friendly paper to have some control (or even legibility for some).

Even at Fine Point, it bleeds on "regular" paper as though it were a 1.0mm point pen if you let it linger for too long.

Excellent size to fit in a wallet.

This was a cute little fountain pen I've been looking for in my local stationary store for quite a while. They were never in stock so when I found out Amazon had them I ordered one immediately to test it out. They are very Petit and fit in my pocket quite well for on the go writing which is preferred since I tend to write while I'm out. I'm not an expert on pens, but my hand thought this pen was pretty okay. These make the perfect little gifts for pen-lovers like me. Though I'm afraid of using it for fear the ink might run out too fast.

Very nice little fountain pen. Ink runs out very quickly, but for a semi-disposable, low cost pen that you can throw in a bag and take with you it is very practical. Seems very small until cap is posted, then it is very comfortable to right with. I wish they made a converter for these pens, but the ink cartridges are cheap enough.

Handy little shorty that writes great. I own several Pilot fountain pens and every one of them write great. This is a handy size, only think I see is the ink cartridge matches pen, still good for a take along for the occasional note taking.

Cute little pen, works well for what it is. Now the nib isn't going to come close to a Kwaeco or a Skilcraft, but for a cheap Pilot nib it's not bad. If I put it down and pick it up in a little while it still rights....so that's cool. I was going to make an eyedropper pen, but I have since heard it really doesn't work well for that because of the wide screw on rings. I haven't done it so I'm not sure if that is right. I'm still going to try it though. Hope they make these with a wider nib next.
